My partner and I did a beautiful cover of All I Wanted...and turned it into a Zaylor thing. You must watch it! Now, I'm not a mod, I don't know if I have any say in this, but I propose we should jazz up the emoticons a little -- with Paramore gifs! The other forums I used to linger on, lanaboards.com, diamondgarden.net, and altboards.com, they all used gif emoticons of the artists the forum was about! I love them and I think they're a great idea. And I thought maybe the whole Parafamily could contribute to them and post a few gifs -- or even just still photos of good expressions that could be used as an emoticon, but gifs are the best -- in this thread, with a designated :key:, and the mods can add them to the emoticons list! I had discovered it before when I tried looking for that Kerrang! issue that had a lot of falsely accused statements, but I didn't find anything, and my internet was slow af. Then, I was re-reading that new New York Times interview and had "obsessive, impatient fanbase" as a link to the site. How did you come across the amazing band that is Paramore/ how long have you been a fan? Well, first off, when I started listening to all of their songs, Miz Biz rang a bell, and I knew the melody of The Only Exception, but I don't know how. I do remember, in 2013, watching the Still Into You music video on television, and I remember thinking Hayley was cool and to remember her because she looked cool, but I thought the song was too poppy ( ). I also thought it was just Hayley and her stage name was Paramount (but, like, I thought Paramount was called Paramore). But, I then had a friend recommend them to me in November 2015, and I listened to them (this was when I was talking about above with Miz Biz/The Only Exception), and I loved them! But, I was a hella fake fan (I didn't know the lyrics and stuff) until almost a year later (late October 2016), when I had troubles with an ex and decided to play AWKIF on repeat because it sounded angsty, and I started paying attention to the lyrics and stayed up all night looking them up — and when I stay up all night doing something, I become obsessed with that thing. But then, earlier this year, my friend and I created this joke Instagram account, where we post photos of Hayley's thighs, and I got hella active on it for the release of Hard Times, and I started socialising with the Parawhores (which I hadn't ever previously done, I pretty much just posted on the account and went back to my main one). Everyone was so nice, and accepting, and treated us like a real fan account, that I decided to create my own real one (because I felt like I was treating it like it wasn't co-owned, because I was having conversations and everything). Being an active fan account owner has really spiced up my obsession, lmao. I mean, I think the first song being released in four years was what really did it, but finding out that Paramore's fanbase is so nice was what, y'know, sealed the deal, for me. Favorite Paramore song? Probably Misery Business, because it is heavily connected to my partner and I. (If anyone would like to hear the story, I'd be happy to tell, but I've already made this post heaps long). Also My Heart. The feels every time. Also Tell Me It's Okay. And Adore (also connected to my partner; I had this song on repeat for days, leading up to the time I confessed my crush to them — which they said they had mutual feelings, and we started dating). And Hallelujah (also connected). And Last Hope. Favorite lyric? It's just a spark, but it's enough to keep me going. And the salt in my wounds isn't burning anymore than it used to, It's not that I don't feel the pain, it's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore. And the blood in these veins isn't pumping any less than it ever has, And that's the hope I have, the only thing I know that's keeping me alive. Somehow, everything's gonna fall right into place. This heart, it beats, beats for only you. And literally every lyric, I can't even. To think that I completely ignored them for almost a whole year… Any live show experiences you'd like to share?
