Firstly, I would like to state that I have been a fan of Avril Lavigne's for 8 years and a Paramore fan for 6 years. It is extremely stupid and immature to compare Avril (solo artist) to Hayley (lead singer for band). They make different music and sing differently. Avril's voice is most compatible for pop music. When she sings pop songs (What the Hell) her voice is strong...when she tries to sing rock songs (Losing Grip) her voice completely falls apart. Hayley's voice is most compatible to rock songs. Hayley doesn't try to 'pop out' she rocks out. Avril needs to stop trying to rock out cuz it just doesn't suit her. In my opinon Hayley has the better and stronger voice. She has always been a great live singer and is very consistant. Avril's live performances were horrible until she realized that her voice range was more soprano than alto. Avril is still growing as a singer and has imporved and gotten great live performances out of her growth. Same as Hayley. When it comes down to the point, Avril and Hayley are different singers. They use a different method to sing, have different voice ranges, sing different music, and are different ages (which does make a difference) They both are great singers. But my vote goes to Hayley. Now let's get back on topic!! This thread is about AVRIL LAVIGNE! not hayley williams, or who has the better voice. I personally really like Avril's new song 'What the Hell' I'm really excited that she's back and can't wait to hear the new album!! I'm hoping it's going to have a theme/tone similar to UMS. I mean she did say that WTH is the most pop track on the new album.

haha that's funny cuz their her hair looks exactly like Avril's. I saw a picture of her and thought she was trying to be an edgier Avril Lavigne. HayleyRoxMySox said it all. My thing is....she's only 16 er 17 whatever....she doesn't need to be dressing like that...she looks like a prostitute.

eh. All her songs sound pretty much the same and the theme's of the songs are all the same. Nothing speical. She wears too much make-up and dresses like she's a whore. I heard once in an interview that she said she was pretty much the whole band...which put mt off because she really didn't talk about her band...just herself and how she does everything for the band. I do compliment her for her voice. I wouldn't think she would have had that strong of a voice. So kudos to her voice. I can hear all the rip-off and comparison to Avril Lavigne comments now....

Glee ruins just about every single song they cover....I am not happy about this.

Stunning! You should try doing this with My Heart. Your piano cover is brilliantly beautiful for that song and I think it would equally as pretty with her vocals in the background.
