  1. very crazy impressive....its good to see the genre get some credit....however, there's some damn good artists in that bunch (feist, swift, and winehouse)...it'll be interesting to see what comes of it all
  2. Ok, I need some clarification.... I believe the argument is: "If Paramore keeps being nice, people won't take them seriously." Now, hypothetically speaking, what exactly would Paramore lose, if people do not take them seriously? And, how does being "nice" take away the bands credibility? Don't they appear to be "proud" to show off their "niceness?" (for lack of a better word:) ) From both albums, I get the feeling that all of the words in the songs are very true...and then hold up when you listen to interviews or witness their own actions. i.e. the taking down of the video, because said video, was deemed offense. That is exactly something Paramore would do, and for me, I would take them more seriously than I would have before. My main point is that Paramore has given off a very truthful image, so far. They're not pretending to be something there not. As of late, their actions do not seem to be in any conflict with their lyrics. And I don't think anyone has really questioned if their songs are influenced by false events in their lives. (Refer to that Misery Business LJ entry to really understand what I mean about the truthfulness in songs). So...help me out here...
  3. for some odd reason.....i do find this to be amusing...but as far as "conspiracy theories" go....i REALLY like this one. Technically speaking....even how poor the grammar maybe, the story could be legitimate. Although, as a fan, I'm high skeptical....but it will stick with me...i'm not gonna rule it out just yet....i find it all very interesting...
  4. If honesty is the best policy I would honestly say that Hayley would win, but not by much. The problem is that artists can and do take advantage of recording studios, not that Paramore has no talent, but perfection is easy to accomplish in a studio. You can all hear that with Avril as well...her songs sound tight on her record, but live she is just awful. And Paramore, from what I've heard lately...is that there sound hasn't been up to par..i.e. they can play pretty damn close to that record of theirs, but touring takes its toll...laziness kicks in, all of sudden notes you know you can hit, don't come out just right, you change melodies to suit that scenario, and its tough to climb out of that hole. The method to this madness....if on an equal playing field...Hayley's vocals are much better...but, there's the possibility that Avril is just REALLY BAD...and everyone may sound better than her. On a scale of live performances through touring...I would argue that Paramore may not sound great all the time, but their consistency is much better than the other girl...its as if they try. I hope this opens up more doors to the debate at hand....but for me....QED
  5. deja vu....i totally made a paramore picture related post a week or so ago....i love it!!!
  6. Kind of a two parter... 1. As a band...where do ya'll see Paramore going in the future? As fans, we would enjoy it if you keep going up, up, up. But, what are the goals you have as a whole and as individuals? Will you some day "graduate" from Warped Tour and go on to headlining giant arena filled concerts? and playing off of that.... 2. If we were to categorize your music as "rock" or "pop-punk" how can you differentiate yourselves from everyone else. For example, right now one musical struggle is the singer-songwriter...as of late everybody seems to play acoustic guitar and sing. My point...its hard to separate one singer-songwriter from the next. How can Paramore (without sounding to cliche) get to the next level and separate yourselves from everything else "rock" or "pop-punk" out there, but still have a solid hold of that genre. (Makes my brain hurt just thinking about that) And I want legit answers, unless of course you'd be revealing secrets that you wouldn't want anyone to steal. But, in all seriousness....What can you do? CJ
  7. brillant! link should still work...i hope
  8. hooray....dare I say randomness can be a curse
  9. From all of the replies given....I'm now not sure what I can say to explain anything...or if I myself can even make any sense from this. The only resemblance I saw was in the eyes....it was a similar stare. I'm not trying to compare apples and oranges here...the thing to get was that the stare looked similar...and that's about it. The reason it was random was the fact that its some famous photograph...and here I am looking at famous photographs....thinking paramore??
  10. So I get this e-mail from Allposters and I scope out some posters in photography and come across this one. I believe its just called "veil"...or "woman and veil" something like that. As I'm viewing this picture I can't help but think...I've seen this before. It does resemble that famous National Geograhpic cover, but I was definitely thinking of something more recent. Then it hit me! See if it does the same for you too. Although, it maybe very random...I found it to be quite hilarious. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n7/CJGolf/Disguise1.jpg
  11. Aite so assuming it'd be a live performance....my singer choice goes against the Paramore genre, but I would love to here Hayley sing with Jason Mraz....both voices live would be friggin' incredible. However, I'm not sure what they would sing...it'd be great to here Hayley do the call-and-response in Mraz's song "Did You Get My Message" (if anyone knows what i'm talking about:) and I bet Jason could do some great work with Paramore's stuff as well...it'd be like a crazy musical trip....
  12. you gotta have Riot! on the playlist...the songs change add a new blend to what i usually listen too....
  13. i would either think a live album would be the next thing to do...actually maybe even a DVD performance...but, an acoustic disc would be a nice touch...at least a disc of demos or something...
  14. Hmm....some of those are really awful look-a-likes....*slap in the face*...
