The Great Escape - Boys Like Girls

It was all blurry then as the rain blurred my vision. The drops hit my eyes slowly, smudging my makeup. I pulled my hood over my head and tightened the string until I could barely see. But that didn’t matter. What mattered was getting home. The loud, booming sound of thunder exploded above me and I picked up my pace. I wanted to get home before it got too bad. A heard a crash of lightning and I looked up, I could see if over in the distance, above the forest. I shivered; the cold was nipping at my exposed skin. I felt the material of my jacket cling to my skin as it was drenched with rain. It sent chills down my spine, and I was already cold. I started walking faster when I felt the rain fall quicker. The sounds of thunder and lightning crashed above me, and it made my ears hurt. The moon shone in the shape of a crescent, clouds floating nicely in front of it, making it brighter. It was my only light. The night was dark. My converse were too small for my feet, and my jeans were too tight for my liking. I clung to my purse beside me for a little warmth. It didn’t help much. I started thinking absentmindedly as I turned to cross the road. I didn’t bother looking left or right, it was late, it was night, it was raining, no car would bother to drive. Half way across the road, I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of a beeping horn and two bright headlights. I didn’t have time to move. My feet were glued to the tarmac and I panicked. But before I could do anything, I heard the crash before I felt it. Everything was black. tell me how bad this is please. :]
