The pretty reckless

Recommended Posts

I love this band so much oh my god

Their album is one of very few I can listen from start to finish and not skip a single song

I don't see what Taylor's image has anything to do with it though, she can dress how she wants. And besides she looks amazing in the clothes she wears.

I agree. She has an incredible body, I wish I was that slim. She has beautiful eyes too. Particularly when they're made up! :)

I'm looking forward to album two. They pulled out of Reading festival for some reason. I'd have been pretty gutted if I was going. I don't know why they pulled out.

I just hope that she doesn't crash and burn. :)

Like I would totally wear some of the clothes she wears, they're gorgeous >.<

Maybe they're recording for album number 2 ;D

Same, she's perfect ^-^

She's just great live.  As far as bluesy performance from a female lead singer, she gives Bonnie Rait a serious run for her money.  Her beauty is almost a handicap, because people often don't take her seriously until they see her perform the first song. And then they're entranced.

They've also set up a new website with US tour dates - http://goingtohell.me/hell/

Strangely there is no set release date for the new album. I've searched the UK and US Amazon and I can't find it to pre-order anywhere. It's not even on iTunes.

I like everything that I've heard so far. I need album details!

Thoughts?

A new song has been released

HEAVEN KNOWS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVZe5K3PZig

If they release much more they'd have released virtually an entire album! I need to know when they are actually releasing the album. I need it in my collection! :) I don't really know why they keep pushing the date back. I'm sure that the original release date was set for last year, then it was pushed back to early this year (around April if I remember correctly). I'm starting to get annoyed with the whole thing.

They have just been announced as a support act for Fall Out Boy's UK tour next year.

The Pretty Reckless have announced a show in LONDON:

http://www.gigsandtours.com/event/the-pretty-reckless/electric-ballroom/760955

It's at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. The show is on Monday 24th March. The tickets went on sale this morning. A friend and I were considering going but as I'm going to be working then and getting to and from Camden when neither of us live near would be a nightmare. Plus we'd be travelling separately which I would not be at all comfortable with seeing as I don't know the area. I think that we're going to miss out on an amazing show but seeing as the album is rumoured to be released in March (according to Twitter) we're hoping for a tour. It will at least give us more time to plan.

Anybody going?

I saw The Pretty Reckless support Evanescence and they were much better live than I had been expecting. I think I'm like a lot of people who aren't sold on Taylor's image but it's obviously done for effect and it works, because everyone remembers it and talks about it. I prefer to concentrate on the music and I'm looking forward to hearing what they come up with on the new album.

I like that they are still quite quiet, if you will, on the commercial front. The ticket prices are so cheap :D That's great for fans. I find sometimes that the bands releasing their tickets cheaply end up being the better shows than those who allow management to decide the ticket prices. I've been to some great shows where the ticket prices haven't been very much (Best Coast, Kasabian, Paramore, Laura Marling to name but a few).

I am very much looking forward to hearing the new material. I loved their first album. I'm beginning to wonder how much of the material that has been released since 2012 will be featured on the new album. (Kill Me, Going To Hell, Burn, Heaven Knows, Follow Me Down). That's a lot of music to be releasing before announcing a set-in-stone album release date.

Wow, it's been so long since I posted in here.

They are playing in London this evening. There were still tickets available and I was hoping to go. The show is in Brixton. I've been there before and didn't feel safe. I really did debate getting tickets but I wouldn't have been able to get there and back, plus I have absolutely no money until Friday.

I love smaller venues and I've no doubt that people will enjoy the show. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on Youtube. Hopefully they play a show a little closer to home next time. Maybe one day they'll be big enough to play the O2 Arena. That's literally half an hour by car from my home.

"Going to Hell" has been on repeat since it came out in March. I absolutely love that album. I play it in my car all of the time.
