Wiking
Speaking of first record you bought. Mine was 2 Unlimited you know that dutch dance/techno band. Actually bought their first two albums. Now I can't stand that type of music, but actually still have the albums now that I think about it. Harry
pft, '91, i didn't miss much Well given people on average don't start remembering anything until the age of 3, you missed practically half the decade whether you wanted to or not:p Whereas I got almost all the decade:cool:

hubabalou
I'm gonna make a small list of albums that have come out this year that I really like, I don't really want to compile a huge list from over the last decade because that would take me ages, so I'm just gonna do this year. There are no EPs on this list even though some of my favorite releases have been EPs. Love Save the Empty - Erin McCarley Who Are You Now? - This Providence The Hazards of Love - The Decemberists Hell or High Water - As Cities Burn Mean Everything to Nothing - Manchester Orchestra Self-Titled Album - The Audition Here We Go Again - Demi Lovato (go ahead, laugh... but that album is amazing) Ocean Eyes - Owl City Spain - Between the Trees Armistice- MuteMath Daisy - Brand New

Harry
I like Kid A, but it wouldn't be my album of the decade though. That Pitchfork list isn't too bad I guess. A lot of the stuff I haven't heard though.
Wiking
Yeah at least they argument for their rankings. And among 200 albums you will find some disappointments. I like Kid A and Funeral (by Arcade Fire), but what Daft Punk i doing there is something I don't understand. I guess they have changed their mind to that album, since they gave it a not so favorable review when it was released.

I'm still waiting on more albums to come out this year too. Also, a note on the band 5ive, they are not the same thing as the boyband that had the same name, the one I listed is a metal band that writes songs that go well over 10 minutes, so hardly a poppy band lol. -------------------------------------- Anyway, this is a slight update of my original list and some errors fixed. Ross
About six weeks of the year left, might as well do this shit proper. 1. Daisy - Brand New 2. It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All a Dream! It's Alright! - mewithoutYou 3. This Will Be the Death of Us - Set Your Goals 4. Aim and Ignite - fun. 5. Say Anything - Say Anything 6. Mean Everything to Nothing - Manchester Orchestra 7. Cycles - Cartel 8. Road Maps and Heart Attacks - This Time Next Year 9. Anywhere But Here - Mayday Parade 10. Where I Want to Be - the Dangerous Summer Honourable mentions go to: Self-Titled Album - the Audition Axe to Fall - Converge All I Have to Offer is My Own Confusion - Fireworks Off the Deep End - the Friday Night Boys Brother's Blood - Kevin Devine Attics to Eden - Madina Lake Chasing Hamburg - Polar Bear Club Intentionally excluded EPs from this list. Of which, The Auteur's Nightcap, Bayonets' wishes&wishes, Not Advised's Fight for This, Ocean is Theory's In My Blood Again and the Years Gone by's Something You Know Nothing About would've been there or there abouts if I had included them. Just as many shit albums as good albums unfortunately, but the less said about them, the better.
