HayleyRoxMySox
I watched Glee for the first time last night. I do believe it'll be the last time I watch it.
nickkk
I want Sunshine, the new girl to sing it.
MusicFreak810
I want Sunshine, the new girl to sing it. Guest starring role. She's on Vocal Adrenaline now. What if it was a Puck to Quin song? Since they made it obvious he's still in love with her in the season premiere? I'd much prefer that to a Finn-Rachel or Rachel-Finn even though I'm a big fan of that couple.
kasiek
^ it's good idea, as long as mark sings it, not dianna (hiding before dianna's fangirls come here )
MusicFreak810
britney previews! The last 30 seconds has The Only Exception. Looks like it's Rachel singing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4FOADkNSKg
Guro
It is Rachel indeed. I have it Anyone else heard it yet? Thoughts?
kasiek
not bad but i still think that tina would be better to sing it. what toe is doing in britney episode tho?
Riot!Girlx
i'm sorry to people who like glee. but that that cover is crap. i've heard better covers on youtube. i knew they'd butcher it.
kasiek
it's ok like it was said few times, lea's voice doesn't really fit to TOE so people who doesn't watch it could think that she can't sing when she's great singer. just a little justification
Riot!Girlx
^lol, don't get me wrong i know she can sing.. but i just don't like her voice for the only exception... it's too musical theatre.. lol.
kasiek
ok i get your point
Rachley
i don't really like it. this is gonna sound stupid, but it sounds like something all the kids in my school used to listen to when they were 11- something from High School Musical. Her voice just doesn't suit it, it's too theatreish, if that makes sense. I think it could've been done better.
HayleyRoxMySox
terrible, terrible
MusicFreak810
Umm, sorry to state the obvious, but that's kind of the point? The kids are supposed to sound broadway/musical theatre-ish. The show itself is a musical and Lea Michele is a professionally trained broadway singer and performer. It's not supposed to be a legitimate cover you'd hear on the radio and have sell millions (despite the fact that the franchise is selling millions). I wouldn't say it was butchered, it's just done in a broadway/theatre style. I wasn't expecting the cover to be amazing, I don't even think Paramore really is suited for Glee at all. But with all that stated, I would say they did the best they could trying to fit a pop-rock love song into a musical/theatre based mold. Catie
its on next tuesday btw obviously its not going to sound the same lol it's a cover on a tv show. its not meant to sound just like paramore they have different voices. paint the sky grey
I don't like Rachel plus I don't like her voice even more what yields a value for the cover = sucks. I'd love to have heard Finn singing it instaed though.
MusicFreak810
just heard the full cover, it's not bad in my opinion. Especially since Lea Michele has a broadway voice and she tends to oversing. She sang softly in the verses and belted at the end, typical of her, but I liked it :]
Nastya
Yes, cover isn't so bad. I liked it. But I liked it less than in the performance of Hayley. Although Lea Michele has absolutely different voice. And I liked the sound of this song, performed by Lea's voice.

Oversinging is a major problem that ruins songs.

Broadway singers tend to over-sing traditional songs. I'm agreeing that oversinging is a problem, but I wouldn't say Lea Michele ruined this song. She did a decent cover that will fit on the show. Which was the purpose.
Erin
Oversinging on Glee?! What a shock....
Now I can fend for myself
I didn't like how the girl sang the song, it sounded so fake to me some how. They should never do a paramore song again, or at least not let her do it.
Catie
i wish it wasn't rachel who sung it. but it wasnt terrible
