Unfortunately, Paramore WILL NOT be playing in the Long Island Warped Tour which is the closest show I can get to so here’s the plan: I know a lot of Paramore fans haven’t seen them play in Warped Tour and I’m trying to get together a group of people who preferably lives in New York City or in the Tri-State area to organize a road trip and see Paramore play in Scranton, PA, Hartford, CT, Cleveland, Oh and maybe Milwaukee, WI. I know this idea seems crazy but I know for a fact it is achievable because I’m not sure of the specific details but a bunch of people road-tripped in the US to see Paramore play and I think they were from Australia or something. I unfortunately do not own a car but I’m more than willing to chip in for gas, room and board and obviously food cause I have a ton of money saved up. Please spread the word and get this message to Paramore and all Paramore fans. You could always go on a train or bus! They're not bad. I know Chriss (admin on here) takes one or the other to Boston from NJ all the time. I also know there's a bus that goes to Mount Pocono/Scranton from New York as well. That's Martz Trailways. It won't drop you off near the venue in Scranton (which is in the middle of nowhere), but if anybody from here is heading that way anyway, you could always ask for a ride. Really? because I tried google maps and it told me it's gonna take about 4 hours to get to the destination and transfer to a whole bunch of buses. I'll try to look into the greyhound bus schedules I really want to make this happen and if it does, I will make sure to find you guys! it'll be nice to hang around with people who are really into Paramore as much as I am thank you sooooo much! Chriss Posted April 8, 2011 Report Share Posted April 8, 2011 Google Maps only gives you public transportation, so don't go by that. I'm surprised it even found a way for you to get there like that, haha. Greyhound (http://www.greyhound.com/) has $15 advanced tickets (one way, $30 for roundtrip) from New York to Hartford. It's still a two-and-a-half to three hour trip, but it's pretty cheap. Tip: when you're looking at the time table, click the "Schedule Details" link... it'll tell you whether or not the bus stops anywhere or is an express bus. Usually if it takes longer, it's a local bus. Also, always order your Greyhound tickets in advance online. If you go to Port Authority and buy a ticket there, that day, it will cost you double or triple the price. Here's a link for Martz Trailways, which also leaves from Port Authority: http://www.martztrailways.com/ I don't think you can get advanced tickets for them, but if you can, it doesn't matter cause it's always the same price: $66 round trip. It's also about two-and-a-half hours, but that's not so bad. If you end up going, I'd recommend taking it to East Stroudsburg or Tobyhanna and having someone you plan on meeting up with pick you up along the way, otherwise it'll take you way far out of the way. The venue is technically in Moosic, PA, not Scranton, so you'd be at least 15 to 20 minutes in the wrong direction if you took the bus to Scranton, haha. Good luck, and I hope you make it out to at least one of the shows. If you have any questions about buses, let me know.
