oneheartbeat
i am more fluent in pangpangan bc that is what i grew up learning when i lived in the philippines. i still speak it to mostly my grandparents. i learned how to speak tagalog from hearing my cousins and watching filipino movies... which i love!! lalalalisa
my sister-in-law is from the philippines and she has lived in the US for about 5 years and still is fluent in tagalog. also, my sister's boyfriend's dad was born in the philippines and moved here when he was 6 or 7 and can still speak it fluently. but, they both have many family members that they speak it with, so that is probably why.
