So now rather than fighting the fires, the limited number of firefighters there are have to go in and rescue the people who have refused to leave. This happened with Hurricane Katrina and then those people ended up being stranded because once the flood hit they couldn't evacuate. I feel for the people and I know how hard it would be to try and leave your house and not know if it would be there when you came back.
