^ I've tried a little while I was up at school and had access to a set, but my mom would never let me get my own, so I stuck to mostly hand percussion and orchestral stuff. I play mostly guitar and bass now, but I still respect Zac's drumming.

Haha, and of course I have a meet and greet. How else would I be able to talk to Zac? I'm stoked. :)

Man, you're lucky. Did you win it? Or..like special perks? You need to get back into drumming. I did the hand percussion/orchestral stuff in high school also.

I can transcribe a song if you'd like.

*if you read sheet music*

Of course I can. Decode please?

Thanks for the info Jedd, much appreciated.

I'm actually not a drummer, the extent of my skills go to being able to hold a few basic 4/4, 5/4 and 6/8 patterns down.

I'm a guitarist first and a bassist second, but despite that I'm one of those people that is just really interested in the gear a band uses, be it the vocalists gear, drummer or whatever.

I want to find out what mics were used to mic up the drums on each album. I doubt anyone here knows, but it'd be very interesting for me to know anyway.

I knew you'd know. Thanks! :)

Chriss is in the Paramore fan club. And if you're in the fan club, you're eligible for M&G. She got picked. :shifty: I don't know how people are chosen though.

Actually, I didn't get picked. My friend Dan (Sefirosu) did, and he was allowed to bring a guest, so he's bringing me. :willy_nilly:

Most fan club m&g's are chosen completely at random. You tell them what shows you're going to, and they randomly pick 10 people who haven't had a m&g recently.

I'll transcribe it for you though, might be in a few days or a week.

I'd love to know what mics he used. I don't read much on audio gear though.. I just know he uses Shure mics.

If you post pictures of Zac's set (mic-ed) on http://www.pearldrummersforum.com they can easily answer that question for you.

But if you need any info on drumming, just ask. I'm obsessed :P

Wow! Drum SHEET MUSIC! I was expecting tabs like you get from mxtabs.net or whatever. Very impressive! Brings me back to my high school years...AWESOME DUDE! ;-)

Well...if it's Shure, the SM57 is like the most popular mic ever...

I'm looking at the limited edition photo postcards from the Deluxe Edition of BNE and the mics I see hokked up on ZAc's set don't look like SM57's...but meh.

I like how every so often, this thread comes back to life.

Anybody know which snare head Zac uses? I know it's Remo, but I don't know anything more specific. I'd like to buy one and have the band sign it in April, and if I can buy something more specific than just the first Remo head I find, that'd be awesome.

Here's an awesome picture, btw. Wish I knew who took it:

PS - The snare head in this picture is not what he currently uses.

Hey man! The website removed Zac's profile since he switched to Zildjian already so is there anyhow you could tell me what cymbals Zac uses? I really wanna try out the cymbals he uses :D

if you find pictures i can try and help you. I haven't seen any good pictures of him using Zildjians yet.

I heard he uses a 22" K Crash/Ride though. Not sure about the other cymbals.

I don't know what he uses now, but my FAVORITE snare head at the moment is the Remo Controlled Sound:

I'm gonna buy one for my snare soon. My friend uses them and they sound and feel awesome!
