Burnchen
I guess my album of the year would be.... mhm... hard... I'd say "Coma Chameleon" from Donots! The Band sounds older and kinda better but they still are the same, y'know?
nathanselisko
i think If by Mindless Self Indulgence and Death Magnetic by Metallica were 2 awesome albums

Echelonforever
I'd have to say Hinder's "Take it to the limit" has to one of if not the best album this year. It was just released November 4th and I can't stop listening to it!
xmurderxlovex
Panic has definitely disappointed me this year. Pretty. Odd. wasn't what I expected from them. It has that "Feel-good" thing to it, but it wasn't the impact that I was hoping to get. D: LETS HOPE 2009 IS GOOD FOR MY ALBUM CHOICES! EDIT: I forgot to put in my favorite albums... I'D HAVE TO SAY... One of The Boys by Katy Perry was the best It made me feel girly and want to go put on a dress and punch guys in the face. o.o; Punk Goes Crunk was a nice album. Not the best, but it was one I heard a lot.
k4rma
-Lost In The Sound of Separation-Underoath I'm a hardcore UO fan, and Lost in the Sound of Separation is more of a continuation of Define the Great Line than a new album, which is not a bad thing! But my Top Albums for 2008 is pretty short, seeing as how I only got 2. 1.) Underoath - Lost in the Sound of Separation 2.) Norma Jean - The Anti-Mother I've gotta give NJ props on this album, as I think it is their best mastered album to date. I especially like how they have stepped back from their "old" ways of always screaming, and have added more clean vocals. This album has really gotten me hooked on NJ. And this album hasn't been released yet, and I don't know when it will...but they put it out as an EP: Saosin - The Grey One word: Amazing. Dutchertina
Day & Age - The Killers808's & Heartbreaks - Kanye West Narrow Stairs - Death Cab for Cutie Either one of those. It hasn't been released yet has it? Anyway is it any good? Is it the 'same' as their first? Because Human does give me that thought but I don't want to buy it straight away. Because Sams Town wasn't that great IMO.

"On November 19, 2008, Day & Age was released early on Japan's iTunes Store for download." Pretty sure it leaked well before then as well. RenegadeRoss
for me, Simple Plan's album this year did it for me, closely followed by Kids in Glass Houses. loved both the albums, next year should be good though. Albums from paramore, all american rejects, and billy talent. Get in!

Kalas
Hmm i'm slow, but i haven't been here in an age so my top 5 would have to be ummm... Life Is Not A Waiting Room - Senses Fail A Coloring Storybook And Long-Playing Record - Cinematic Sunrise This War Is Ours - Escape The Fate Bone Palace Ballet: Grand Coda - Chiodos Smart Casual - Kids In Glass Houses I didn't actually buy that many albums last year, and the Chiodos re-release deserves a spot just because i loved the new tracks so much and the original release was amazing as it was...yes i am a big Craig Owens fan hence the Cinematic Sunrise mention to But the new Senses Fail album blew me away (yes i am extremely biased), i loved it from start to finish, maybe not quite on par with Still Searching but definately not to far off
Ross
^ I preferred it to Still Searching. I was pleasantly surprised with LINAWR.
