I wrote a kind of rant blog.

I'm posting it cause i want every one to see it.....

here it is:

Do You know that feeling when it seems that you have found yourself at the peak of right where you want yourself to be? Then you fall. Down to a painful, spiraling, & swirling death.

It’s pretty hard to be normal.

I know i’m too akward.

Most black teens where I am worship rap & R&B. (Not saying they all do, and i mean no offense.)

And I (being an akward black teen) rock out to alternative rock bands, metal, pop, and a bit more.

And, I’m proud.

they call me oreo. (black on the outside, white on the inside.)

and i disagree. (no offence to anyone.)

I’m not racist against my own race or any one elses,

I’m just myself.

If you read thanks,

Breana. <3’s Everyone

Ace, That's the way. ^ As you seen in the rep thing.

Yeah its personal but it's not decorated with a skeleton or structure of anything creative or clever, I just wanted to do something to test out mah cash rhymes :P

Lies, Cries and everything in between

Is something you could never apply

Into your thoughts so keen

You were never around to share vanity

When I was down and so beaten

Forced to move my mind outside sanity

The fire it dances for my peace

Just like the moon off the water

Helping me not to be reminded of anything

Visions of the cross

Trying to surpass the leaders boss

When I tried to make the right decisions

As I juggled our loss

Well can you tell me I'm so strange

When it is you being hated

As no one understands you

Do you see change nearing closer in the range?

Yes that's another rant for me to you

My one and only, My one miss lonely

Could you please make me a cup of tea

Let's have us sit

And trade words

Let's have it just you and me because

The world beyond the wall

Never seemed so short

With us so tall

In a view of importance

I've searched and I found

I knocked and one answered

I asked and again I was answered

But knowledge never came to me

As I was busy being born

At the same time I was busy dying

Crying, Lying soaring and flying

In the sky of wisdom

The smarter I got

The more inept I realized I am.

Here are some poems/lyrics I've written, please read and comment, thanks!

A Product Of A Rainy California Night

Turn on the radio, another melancholy tune

I’m sober for now, but that’ll be changing soon

As outside the world is drenched, concealing the unwanted and the unseen

Watch as your ideals wash away

Hey there insomnia

It seems there’s some unfinished business at hand

I’ve tried to escape you, but tonight I just can’t

Because we’re prisoners of our own illusions

And I’m chained to this bed

As everything we believed in comes pouring down

Two picture perfect lovers

Gloved hands clasped together

As quickly as they appear they fade away

And I’ve opened a window to let in the rain

In due time this paper will be soaked but the meaning won’t have changed

No, as the ink bleeds the words remain the same

Hey there insomnia

It seems there’s some unfinished business at hand

I’ve tried to escape you, but tonight I just can’t

Because we’re prisoners of our own illusions

And I’m chained to this bed

As everything we believed in comes pouring down

Where did our innocence get carried off to?

Somewhere in between the swirl of lights it got lost

Like the old worn out toys given up to the falling rain

Because they no longer matter

No, tonight nothing matters

Hey there insomnia

It seems there’s some unfinished business at hand

I’ve tried to escape you, but tonight I just can’t

Because we’re prisoners of our own illusions

And I’m chained to this bed

As everything we believed in comes pouring down

Finding Yesterday

The wind dies down over your old apartment

Carrying with it the last seeds of innocence

We're sitting on the steps watching the cars glide over the pavement

A common situation- But today something feels different

Tonight- We'll find relief in broken bottles

And burnt out cigarette buds

As I try to push away these preconceived notions

And tell myself we're not like the other ones

As night consumes the last shreds of sunlight

I wonder what this is supposed to feel like

It appears that I'm watching myself from a distance

Playing back these images in black and white

Tonight- We'll find relief in broken bottles

And burnt out cigarette buds

As I try to push away these preconceived notions

And tell myself we're not like the other ones

Bursts of passion over like sparks above the ocean

I try to sort out these scattered thoughts, but the meaning got lost in the process

And as this body hits the sheets and I surrender myself to the darkness

I remember those wild flowers crushed on the freeway

Heart In The Sand

Before it starts it’s already over

And we’re left longing for so much more

More then the empty thoughts that lead to empty words

More then the raindrops that evaporate before they’re fully formed

Today I drew a heart in the sand

And when the tide rolled in it washed it away

Leaving not a single trace to be found

How come nothing in this life ever stays?

Soon tomorrow will begin and today will be

Just a memory not worth remembering

When the sun refuses to shine and night sets in

The day’s events will be erased as if they never existed

Today I drew a heart in the sand

And when the tide rolled in it washed it away

Leaving not a single trace to be found

How come nothing in this life ever stays?

We lay in the arms of forever

Aware that in a second it will all be gone

And the desires we held so important

Won’t mean so much, no they don’t mean so much anymore

Today I drew a heart in the sand

And when the tide rolled in it washed it away

Leaving not a single trace to be found

How come nothing in this life ever stays?

Hope City

We cross each other's paths on a gloomy day

Two wandering souls who've somehow lost our way

We're stopped by the conditions of the failing weather

If we're alone we might as well be alone together

The falling rain begins to soak the pavement

As the tears run down our swollen faces

And the poems you've written about imaginary places

Begin to come alive as we're drenched down to our laces

We find ourselves in the eyes of the unknown

As we realize the love the storm has shown

And when the sun comes out and showers the sky in a million colors

We discover in each other the answers we've always wondered

The Words She Said

Based on a true story

In a little park on a sunny day

Two people walk down a narrow chapel hallway

They were both so young

Two crazy kids in love

No one thought they would last very long

But there they stood, out to prove the nonbelievers wrong

They sealed their vows with a kiss and a ring

Neither knowing what the future would bring

For years they struggled to get by each day

Barely able to get the bills paid

But they had their love to get them through

At least they thought that was true

Then one day he came home from work and found the note

And he tearfully read the last words she wrote

You’ve touched my life in more ways then I thought a person could

You believed in us when no one else would

You were by my side when things got rough

But sometimes even true love is not enough

This world is just so harsh and cold

Someday you’ll understand why I had to go

Time went on but the pain stayed the same

To him it felt like the end had came

He tried to put the past behind

But the words she said kept going through his mind

You’ve touched my life in more ways then I thought a person could

You believed in us when no one else would

You were by my side even when things got rough

But sometimes even true love is not enough

This world is just so harsh and cold

Someday you’ll understand why I had to go

In a little park on a sunny day

An old man walks to a forgotten grave

He kneels down and drops his head

And engraved in stone were the words that read

You’ve touched my life in more ways then I thought a person could

You believed in us when no one else would

You were by my side even when things got rough

But sometimes even true love is not enough

This world is just so harsh and cold

Someday you’ll understand why I had to go

This is what boredom gives me. I wouldn't really call it a song tbh...meh.

Piling dust.

I wander down the street I thought I had forgotten.

The chalk marks are fading

just like the memory of your once friendly face.

The old days must be here,

but hiding in the cracks in the pavements.

Dust gathers in those corners,

its such a shame.

A shame that the sun refuses to meet the eyes of tattered pasts.

they're locked away in the shadows.

You drove too fast.

You changed our lives.

the life I do not recognize anymore.

The cars will crash.

the debris will rest.

And all will be soon forgotten.

i am kicking and screaming my way out of a retarded writer's block. so it sucks. but i'm so bored and have to start again somewhere. or something.

i've had my head in the clouds

for far too long

they say it came right

out of the blue

and knocked me right

out of the blue sky

where i fell, far too far,

to fall at your feet.

i wouldn't say i'm complete-

i miss the sound of their voices

but they tell me how

i'm much better now

and they tell me how

i'm making them proud

but no one can fall that hard

without being broken

so i'll keep my mind open

and my head up

i'll look their way and

stare them in the eye

i'll look right their way and

say a witty reply

about how they've lost weight

and i've lost my way.

i wouldn't say i regret this

but i was doing fine without you.

Christina, those lyrics you posted on the previous page, do they have melodies? wondering especially if "a product of a rainy california night" has a melody, because I read it while having my guitar out, and I kinda come up with a melody to it..

We had to write poems for writing class. I actually like mine quite a bit.

Hushed and Hidden

Hushed and hidden, sits the owl,

Awake, high in the foliage of the night,

while others rest peacefully, waiting for the morning dawn.

It’s alert eyes graze the landscape, waiting for the right moment,

the opportunity to swoop down and catch its pray.

But I, in the darkness of the night,

only contemplate. I wait, but never go.

Though my eyes are awake and my mind races,

I never find the perfect place, the perfect thought, the perfect catch.

So I too sit, hushed and hidden, searching.

oh who knows anymore.

he feels like love

and he feels like home

(if he's where my heart is)

i watched my home fall apart, these

dreams fall apart, but

he sounded like he spoke the truth

and he sounded a lot like you

when he said my name, so

who's to blame

well i can't remember

the last time i listened, to

a single thing you said

and your words jumbled up

in my head, when i did, anyway,

so save your breath

don't say a word, they say in

death, you save the world

but i've never tried and

i stopped living a long time ago

so never mind

i said i hate you

but it got stuck in my teeth

i never believed anything i told

myself anyway

i trusted the sunlight

but got stuck on belief

i'll never go anywhere i can't

reach with my feet

keep myself on the ground, keep

my eyes on the ground,

but i listen

you felt like love when i loved you,

you felt like enough when i left you,

you sounded so much like love

when i heard you.

Miss The Old You

Verse 1

Run a mile to make

you smile

Say your name wait for a

reply

You say I don't need anyone

Truth is I learned I couldn't

trust you

Bow down to you

Erase your frown

Be careful not to make too many

smudges on your pretty face

Chorus

Each word that you speak

makes your nose grow longer

Makes your head grow bigger

Think you're all that

Flipping your hair

I don't see what others see in you

What makes them love you so

Yeah they're practically crowning

you queen

Oh how it puzzles me so

Oh how it puzzles me so

Verse 2

It's all going smooth until

you come around

Then it all goes down

You're polishing your crown

Thinking of ways to win more over

How can you're so called friends

follow your lying path

You continue singing your song

God knows how long you'll

be here

So come closer, come near

Let me whisper something in your ear

Repeat Chorus 1x

Repeating out facts about your life

Quite frankly, I don't wanna hear

about what makes you tick

I walk through the rain wishing the days

where I could trust you would

come back

Repeat Chorus 2x

Oooh, Faith, that good! It sounds eerie and awesome!

Faith, that's awesome! :)

I like it so much Faith! =)

Thanks y'all.

This is something I just wrote. Its kinda stupid, but I figured I'd share.

Introduction.

A normal interaction, of course,

but there is something warm in the

handshake.

Blink.

A slight look left where eyes meet,

for only seconds, but they met

nonetheless.

Stutter.

Awkward conversation, now,

hope that the next time will be less

rehearsed.

Smile.

Thoughts of tomorrow invade,

where things are natural and

effortless.

actually stoked on that, hah, that's rad !

--

i'll look back on this

and chalk it up to experience,

to growing up; to finding love

but i'll still miss you then

like i miss you now

when i figure it out,

i'll let you know-

i promised, at least, a while ago

at least i thought i did

i'll hold myself to it

and hold you through it

i'll talk us through this

so it won't hurt so much.

i never needed reminding

i was doing just fine

at forgetting all about you;

to regretting all about you

or so i said

to those that asked

it finished to fast

to bother saying goodbye,

i lied, i know, when i left

i said i'd be back soon-

but my life began without you

i ran right through without you

i've told you all this

and you tried to listen

but you never heard the things that mattered

i never said the things that mattered

and this is how we got here.

^ Wow, that's phenomenal!

I wrote this during math. I titled it after an Ocean is Theory lyric:

Don't Regret, Embrace The Day

Give me another reason

Tell me one last time

I need to feel your energy

Because I'm too fatigued to breathe

And its all to quiet to be alone

See me, with your calming vision

And let me breathe as I continue to fall

Fall into your arms

And let me pray for you

But its all too hard

My eyes are to blind to see

How much you mean to me

I fall apart just as much as I piece myself together

Just to know how I feel

How I feel

How I know to scream your name

Scream your name

Oh, I cant, I cant see no more

See your face, with an opened door

I love you and I cant choose

Choose my way into your heart

I need to feel forgiven

I felt a little religious when I wrote this....
