what humbles you? whether it's something that sort of breaks you down or really builds you up?

i guess i'll start.
loss of security humbles me... when i feel like the whole world is watching but no one knows me. i hate knowing that everyone can look but it's from such a distance that they get to make up their own captions and sort of say who i am on their own terms and in their own time. i'm simple. not hard to amuse... i like to laugh a lot. i like dirty jokes! and i like working my ass off. what i'm most passionate about doing puts me in a position to be judged on a daily basis and from a long way off. it's humbling because i have can't possibly have any control over that. on the other hand, i can lose my voice and walk off stage pissed at myself and then have the people in the crowd sing TO ME, instead of booing. that was an encore that i will never ever forget. How did it feel to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard charts—behind only Barbra Streisand and ahead of Mariah?
Jeremy: Sales aren't what they used to be, but us even being on the same chart as some massive artists is awkward. Once we saw that we sold more than some of them their first week—we sold more than Eminem did his first week—I was like, "Wait a minute."

MTV talked to the band about the video they shot for "Brick By Boring Brick", if you're curious what the video's gonna be like, go read their article about it now.

"We're not performing at all. We're in it for, like, two seconds, some of us. It's out first video that's all green screen and has a whole story behind it, and there's a lot of people acting in it, so it's cool."

Paramore came in a close 2nd to Barbara Streisand and ahead of Mariah Carey. Click here to read the full article in Billboard.

Here's what Hayley said to MTV:
"We actually came in at #2 behind Barbara Streisand. Touche, Barbara. Haha. We sold 175,464 records! The guys are coming back to LA today. I've been here since last week trying to recover my voice. I can't wait to see them so we can just laugh about how insane this is."

"To our fans, friends and family ... thank you for once again allowing us to exceed any expectation we could ever set for ourselves," she wrote. "Every goal we've ever had has become a reality thanks to your support and we're stoked to share all of it with you."

"Oh and my vocal cords are back for the attack," she wrote. "I'm feelin' good!"

Paramore regret to announce that all dates beginning in San Francisco this evening through October 9th in St. Paul will be postponed due to a case of laryngitis for singer Hayley Williams. The tour will resume in Chicago on October 10th. Tickets for all postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates listed below. Refunds may also be claimed at point of purchase.

'Track by Track' BNE Review

Definitely worth reading this review, it includes lots of lyrics and info about each song. Here’s an excerpt from the review talking about my personal favorite song off brand new eyes:

‘Looking Up’ - At first it seems like this is about friendship... “things are looking up finally, I thought I’d never see the day when you smile at me. Things always pull through when we try, I’m always wrong but you’re never right”. “I’d never trade it in cuz I’ve always wanted this / it’s not a dream anymore it’s worth fighting for”. But then it becomes evident it’s about success - “god knows the world doesn’t need another band but what a waste it would’ve been”, “honestly can you believe we crossed the world when you were asleep / it’s not a dream anymore it’s worth fighting for”. It’s a good trademark Paramore track, lots of riffs and tame ferociousness, no anger here but more hope: “can’t believe we almost hung it up / we’re just getting started”.
