Haha. It's pretty cool even that they are on for their first look some bands aren't even in the studio when MTV shows their first look thing.

actually, i think it would suck.

i am a FOB fan, not afraid to admit it, and have been for like 4 years now, but honestly... they sound better in smaller venues.. i saw them on the Nintendo Fusion Tour in '05 and it was great.. although i've seen better (New Found Glory is like 10 bajillion times better.. they're amazing). but i just saw them on HCT and was like mehhh.. partially because of the girls behind me who screamed their heads off every time they showed pete on the big ole tv screen-like things.

 

so i'd rather NOT have to go to another arena show. but if paramore was on the tour, i'd probably HAVE to go. but at the same time i don't want them to be on that tour. me + arena shows = LAME. well, if i'm in seats. because then i can't get into it and go nuts. i don't know what it would be like if i got pit tickets. then again, FOB might be lame and be like ONLY OCK KIDS GET PIT. and i would never pay money to be in their "fan club."

I think that's the only thing I would hate is it would be another arena tour. Although I know some OCKs so I could probably get pit tickets. But still they cost a fortune.

We were on water restrictions the one summer...my dad didn't like listening to them because he didn't want his grass to get ruined hahahahah. He thought he was special or something. But it's actually been raining a lot here so we haven't had any recently.

I can play keyboard/piano. I've always wanted to try and learn bass though.

I think the boards are doing well as always, it seems sometimes the site itself with just news being posted is falling a bit behind. I'm sure you all are on that though.

it's just all this "teenie" talk that's getting to me. i don't even understand.. what's a teenie? a new fan? i'm so confused man.

Well I don't really buy into all that teenie talk you'll have to ask someone who said it...but mainly a teenie likes a band for soley their looks and not really their music.

aye, i mean like... i know we are all massive fans of paramore and everything, and find it weird that people are only now jumping on the bandwagon.. but there are plenty of other bands that i listen to and don't know anything about.. don't know their names or anything.. but i still buy their music, and that does count for something. so.. yeah, i know a lot of people are going to find it weird if paramore do get 'big' and gain a lot of new fans, but they seriously deserve it. think of all the touring they have done since they started out. it's too much hard work to go nowhere.

I think most people here have stated that as long as they respect the band like we all do they wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't know I've personally seen MTV kill personal friends, and I'm just hoping MTV doesn't do that to him and they keep up on being themselves (which I think people are also worried about). I don't think anyone here is going to attack a new fan, they just don't like when their "little band" gets to the "big time" and loses sight of who they used to be / who their fans are.

one thing that will get me upset is how now every one thinks there a new band. ive been a fan of the band for about a year and a half and ive been "obbsessd" for about a year. lol. all i can say is there gonna go huge. but bands always seem to know who was there at the begining.. wen they didnt have mtv.

paramore is gonna be a "trend" for some ppl. and then as soon as another band comes along other ppl are gonna go and like them. but the true fans will always be there (like us) and we have sumthin over all the "teenies" cuz ya know when a band gets big they get impossible to meet. well we can always say to there newly obsessed fans that we knew them longer and some of us have met them.

they will be in shock. ha i did the same thing with mcr b4 they got super big. now all the teenies think ur god or sumthin.. lol

i think we should be happy for the band.

yea it might be harder to say hi to them but as long as we support them.

the band deserves this. they are amazing.

I'm sure once they start reading up on the band that they had another cd before RIOT! the stories will come in about how they were a fan for awhile and now they are just joining the boards or whatever. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as long as they respect. ;]

Well for the people that Paramore is going to be a trend for let them come and go...we know who will always be here for them.

^ You're completely right. It could skyrocket them to being one of the biggest bands out there. As much as we don't like the teenies, we all know that Paramore is a band that has been around for a while and we were the first people to know how amazing they are. We don't have to pretend to like them because it's cool. We like them regardless of whether people think it's cool or not and we know that Paramore recognizes it. After all, we will all always know that Born For This was written about US, the original fans.

I completely agree with everything you just said...and I'm sure even around here we will be able to tell who has been here for awhile supporting the band. But I think as long as they love the band as much as we do, respect them, and show them support and aren't obnoxious about it I'll be okay with it.

Haha I'm listening to this song now. I'm sure we'll find out in a month or so what the next single will be. I'm sure they'll announce it sometime during the end or after Warped.

I have them as a friend...but no one ever plays a secret show around me that I like.
