    if you're into indie rock underground bands, i def. recommend you check them out, they're fabulous, great stuff

     

    its hard to explain their stuff, but its so...psychodelic...when i listen to it, it feels like a high...(not that i know of, i don't do drugs)

    My Heart by Paramore

     

    Of the many songs I’ve listened to, the term “Christian Music” you think of Holy songs and the words God, Lord, and Jesus. Some of you may agree some of you may not. I have recently realized that my one favorite song, its meaning, is actually about finding God again, and re-building your relationship with him. As you’re at your breaking point, and you realize you can’t do it alone, and you need the Lord in your life, and that you can’t do it without him, you remember he’s there for you. Though you may have shut him out in your life for a little bit, you know he’s still there, and he’s always willing to forgive, and reconnect you. You yearn for his love, and his comfort, and you realize he’s singing to you, and you’ll sing it back to him now, and your heart, and every breath you take, you’re doing it for him. You finally know how much you need him, and he’s the only one that will get you through, and pull you up, and he’s there for you.

     

    Why does this specific song relate to me? At first, I thought it was just a love song, to a boy of something, but then really thinking about it, it had nothing to do with a boy, and I was too blind to see through it. It relates to me, because sometimes it happens to me to, when you’re just so low, and you forget that you’re not alone, and that he’s there, by your side, and you need things to remind you of how you lucky you are to have him. For awhile, I too had shut him out of my life, and yearned for him. I had a feeling that he just wasn’t there, and no matter how much I needed him, I knew he wasn’t going to get me through what ever I was going through. But then I finally realized that, he is there, and he just wanted me to think of what I was doing, he was waiting for me to comeback to him. And I did, because he sang me the song, and now I’m singing it back to him. My heart does beat for him, and only him, and it’ll continue to, for a long time.

     

    Describing singing to God in a metaphor might be a little hard. To me, what it means is, Gods’ Word, if you read it, its like lyrics, he’s speaking to you in it, and he’s singing it to you. In order to have that relationship with him, you need to sing back, you need to do it like how he did. Read his words, talk to him, be confident about him, you’re his servant, and you sing to him, and his ears are always open, and he’s listening. And to him, your voice will always be beautiful.

     

     

     

    I have included the lyrics to this song, because I want to show you how much it means to me, and it doesn’t have the word “God”, “Lord”, and “Jesus” in it, but it talks about him, and now it’s obvious to me, and the meaning has really hit me.
