I'm a member of my univerity's UChapter, but how do I get on the street team?

I just found the time to watch this, and I loved it. It at least seems like they're all still pretty close, and I can't wait for that new album to come out eventually!

If they could be any book/movie/tv character, who would they be?

I like them a lot. I'm a Ev fan too, and yeah, they do sound similiar, but I think it's to be expected. Amy and Ben split for their own personal reasons, and he's now made a new band. Since he was half of Ev's major starting point, then I think it's reasonalbe to expect the sound to be the same. I wouldn't change it either, were it me.

Anyway, any thoughts on the lable change?

I heard there was a new cd coming out, anyone know anything about it?

Do you mean rate their post or topic? It never really gets too crazy with cursing or inappropriate content though. Here and there you'll get a random curse word.

No, I just mean when they link offsite, like to a picture of text thing or whatever. Like if I linked here it wouldn't matter, but if I linked here it would need a 12+ rating. Just so a 12 year old doesn't get sent to a site that uses excessive language or whatever.

As for size of sigs, maybe 200x500 or even like 500x500 or something? 200x500 is what's used on most sites I belong to, though that doesn't mean it would be right for this site.

Oh, and I've taken your advice, I'd forgotten about that option. Thanks Bitter!

Hi! So, I've not been a member long, I know, but I do have a few suggestions.

1. Set size rules for signatures--I know sometimes I'm having a great time on here, but I have limited access and can only use 200MB a day. The size of some of these graphics forces me away from this site alot. Most sites I'm came across have a 200(tall)x500(wide) limit on images, and a limit on about how high it can be including links and text.

2. Since there are probably younger members here, I just thought it might be prudent to have people rate their links. Like maybe if it's a link to something that has a lot of swearing or something, it would be M, while something else could be 12+?

That's all for now. I just thought I'd post it for you guys to think about,if nothing else.

Anyway, lets get started!

I liked her in the beginning, but then I sorta got outta touch with music in general...I started just not listening, not sure why. Anyway, the last real stuff I heard was from the Sk8er boi cd. Then I heard Goodbye Lullaby, and I loved about half the songs.

I know alot of people are downing Goodbye, but that song she wrote because of her breakup/divorce or whatever. Anyway, I really like some of the songs, and I think she sorta needs to just start over as far as everything goes. Forget the record label, do what she wants. Someone will pick her up.

Many of Avril's fans left her after she had released The Best Damn Thing. But Goodbye Lullaby was designed to win back her old fans. Also, What The Hell was supposed to appeal to teens and tweens.

WTH is okay, but really there isn't much to it, for me anyway. I feel like it's a bit of a bratty song, but it doesn't really seem to be one she's too pleased with from what I've saw.

Unfortunately, it seems like Avril's fans have moved on. And much of the younger crowd is busy listening to Paramore and TayTay. And adult music listeners will never take her seriously.

I can say I sorta don't...feel like she's a bit of a sellout. I will probably keep listening, but it'll take a bit for her to regain my respect.

I feel that Avril's fanbase has greatly dwindled, and that she is now facing a decline in relevance in popular music.

On the other hand, other female artists like Britney are still going strong

Britany mostly has tweens from what I've seen. While my friends see her as sort of a joke, my nieces are in love with her.

What do you think is the cause of Avril's disappointing album sales? Why do you think Avril is struggling while other female artists are doing better?

Part of it probably has something to do with seeming to have sold out, but I think she's doing the best she can to get back to her originality. As for the others, they are mostly newer than her.

Do you think Avril can make any kind of comeback from this commercial slump? Do you think Avril is well on the way to fading into obscurity?

I don't really know. I'd like to think she could make a comeback.
