Paramore in danger of missing Carling Weekend: Reading Festival slot

Aircraft problems means Hayley Williams and co are running very late

Paramore are in danger of missing this year's Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals - potentially making it two years running that they've canceled an appearance at the event.

NME.COM has learnt today (August 24) that the band's appearance tomorrow is in doubt due problems with their flights from America to the UK. This follows the 2006 festival when the band had to cancel at the last minute because frontwoman Hayley Williams was ill.

Having just finished playing the American Vans Warped Tour, the band have had trouble getting a flight out of the country.

"The band were due to fly into the UK today, but after an airport closure in the US, they have been forced to change their flight schedule," a spokesperson for the band told NME.COM

They added: "At this point, we cannot guarantee that Paramore will make their 12 noon slot on the main stage at Reading festival (tomorrow August 25), as the band may not be able to get on site in time. They land in London tomorrow morning, and we are trying our best to get them there on time."

According to the spokesperson the band are currently in contact with the event's organisers about moving their main stage slot. Their appearance at the Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival the following day (26) should not be effected.

It was because of Andi's ^ sig on another forum..it amused me..then I caught the very end of misery business on one of the music channels and went youtubing to investigate..downloaded a few tracks then pestered mum to order both albums off amazon:lol: My dad likes them too which is good:D

I have voted for the video a few times actually!!

I found out about Paramore in a weird way. I got a HMV playlist from my mates which came with the CD they got me for my birthday. I put it on and was like "Let's just listen to it and see what it's like" and immediatly fell in love with Pressure and kinda forgot about it (I know how awful!).

This all happened around May and I never checked out the CD again until October and then said right this time we're gonna do some research on them and I downloaded Here We Go Again loved that and then sent my Mam out to get the album and Ta-Dah I am a massive fan of them today

I also introduced my two friends who bought me the CD and they loved them too. I bet they'd wished they'd kept that HMV playlist CD themselves.

I think it's a good single choice I mean you've gotta go back to when you first heard it and what you thought about then 'cos that's what a lot of people will be doing if they're hearing it for the first time on radio or a music channel.

When you put it like that, that is crazy

I want them to come to Carlisle we have the perfect venue and everything! They can play there when travelling from Scotland to England! I always miss the good bands i.e. The Sounds and Shiny Gun Toys came once I was totally gutted I missed them! So I would ike Paramore to play at The Brickyard to sooth my ache of missing them!
