  1. Hmmm, interesting. Can't wait to see the whole interview. Too bad I'll be at work when it's happening though. In that second article where Montgomery or w/e was talking about how honest they all were and how Hayley didn't deny that most of the lines were most likely about Josh, ummm, am I the only person who kind of saw that upon initially hearing the album? I pretty much assumed a lot of the really bitter parts were about disagreements between her and Josh.

  2. I didn't compare the two. I was just stating the fakeness of Glee. Not what this thread is for though, so I apologize.

Which I totally get, because I agree that the show isn't realistic at all. I'm a huge fan of it, but I would never say it was realistic. And I don't mean to sound like I'm jumping on anyone who's dissing the cover, because I don't absolutely love the cover. I agree that the ending was bad, the rest was pretty good though. But for what the show is, a musical, and the kind of singer Lea Michele is, a broadway singer, it wasn't bad. The style it was done in completely fits with the tone of the show.

  3. Man, I can't believe it's been a year since BNE came out. It seems like so much longer. I remember going to Best Buy and picking up the CD :] sticking it in my CD player and just listening to it on repeat for the whole day. Which then continued on for about a month. I still have phases where I just stick that album on repeat for a day or two at least once or twice a month. Such a good album, my favorite songs are still Turn It Off, Misguided Ghosts, Careful and All I Wanted :]

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH!!!!!!!

  4. I think that this format--softly at first, belt out at the end, is the typical format of anyone who's covering a song and trying desperately to make it their own even though it's not and it never will be.

Oversinging is a major problem that ruins songs.

Umm, that's how Hayley sings the song. It's soft at first and she belts it out on the bridge/end. Broadway singers tend to over-sing traditional songs. I'm agreeing that oversinging is a problem, but I wouldn't say Lea Michele ruined this song. She did a decent cover that will fit on the show. Which was the purpose.

  5. Umm, sorry to state the obvious, but that's kind of the point? The kids are supposed to sound broadway/musical theatre-ish. The show itself is a musical and Lea Michele is a professionally trained broadway singer and performer. It's not supposed to be a legitimate cover you'd hear on the radio and have sell millions (despite the fact that the franchise is selling millions). I wouldn't say it was butchered, it's just done in a broadway/theatre style. I wasn't expecting the cover to be amazing, I don't even think Paramore really is suited for Glee at all. But with all that stated, I would say they did the best they could trying to fit a pop-rock love song into a musical/theatre based mold.

  6. Im so pumped for tonight! Lol I probably shouldnt get all jacked up on monsters before the concert....but I am! lol

I highly suggest loading up on water and staying as hydrated and fed as possible! If you're waiting in line or anything, or planning to be dancing all night long, that will help you much more in the long run instead of monsters haha.

You guys are all gonna have such an epic time tonight. Have fun! :]

  7. ^This makes me more excited! So glad you had a great time.

And now Hayley's tweet makes sense. LOL Why would you do that? Seriously.

Oh dude, it was such a good show! I was really worried I wouldn't have as much fun as I did because I wasn't really counting down to the concert or anything, the tickets were just sitting on my night stand for months until yesterday. But as soon as I woke up yesterday it hit me like a ton of bricks that for the first time in two years I was really going to see my favorite band play again and then the countdown started.

They were seriously incredible. This is the first show in years where I was singing so hard to every song to the point where not even halfway through the set my voice was starting to crack. It was that awesome :]

  8. Tegan and Sara were so AMAZING!! Loved their set! Really wished they played Call it Off though, but they opened with Living Room which totally made my life. Not to mention those twins are freaking hilarious. Great stage presence, you can totally tell they've been playing music for a long time :]

Last night's show was hands down the best Paramore show I've been to. I have no idea what it is with Dodge Theatre though, but two out of the three concerts I've been to there have been fights. Usually I check out videos and memorize the setlist, but I decided this time I'll let myself be entirely surprised, and I completely was. The set and the light show itself were AWESOME! I wish they played a couple more songs from AWKIF but I can see why they wouldn't. I think it was at the end of That's What You Get like three people started fighting so Hayley basically just told them off and asked for them to leave. Since the last time I saw them in 2008, all of them have seriously improved on their stamina and stage presence. Hayley's insane, no joke, where all that energy comes from I'll never know haha. During Misery Business though she invited three people up and one of them decided to be a huge douchebag and kissed Hayley without permission, Hayley then was all "That was disgusting! Boys never kiss a girl without permission! You need to go stand over by this guy, I love you and all but you're kinda freaking me out," and she pushed him over towards Taylor.

Overall great show with some weird hijinks in some parts, but definitely worth it :]
