  1. Paramore concerts do have the most senseless pushing ever though.

Sure there may be some pushing as everyone tries to get closer to the stage, but that should be the only pushing. People at Paramore shows push each other just cause they can, which is the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen at a show. You're supposed to take care of your fellow fans in the pit, not shove them... that's why Nick from The Swellers kept saying, "We're all here for the same reason, so take care of each other." When a dude in a punk band is telling a Paramore crowd to calm down, that's just sad (on the crowd's part).

Some of us are there to have fun and enjoy the show. I don't like spending $40 for a show and then missing half of it cause some idiot behind me just feels like shoving people for the hell of it.

This is so true. When I saw them on the JEW tour, I almost passed out because people were pushing so hard and my body was getting squished. I've seen a few harder bands live and you'd think pits of bands like Atreyu, It Dies Today, and Thrice may be worse, but they're not. I really don't understand why Paramore crowds push so damn much. It's so unnecessary and ruins the experience for other people.

  2. I am only going to The NorVa Show. So STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope no one there has the swine flu............

I would hope not. People who have it are supposed to stay at home and avoid people. I'll keep my Purell handy haha. And avoid getting in people's faces as much as possible in a mosh pit.

I hope I make it there in time for the reservation my friend got at the restaurant. If you see me at the show, don't be afraid to say hi.

  3. It's the Year 3 package, since it's the 3rd year of the fan club, so anybody who joins or renews in 2010 gets it... but since some people joined in 2007 and are now renewing for their 3rd year, they get it a little bit early.

Ahh okay, thanks for clearing that up. :)

  4. ^ If you joined now, you'd get the 2009 set, and then if you renewed in 2010, you'd get the new one. If you wait until January 5th or so, you'd get the new design.

So does anyone who joins or renews for 2010 get the Year 3 package? Because there was some confusion as to whether it was for Year 3 of the PFC or members who were members for 3 years.

    Hello!

It's been a week... and we're ready to finish what we started. This whole time, I was in LA, just trying to get better and hoping that everything would be alright by the time we got around to the Chicago show. I spent 4 full days on voice rest, took a crap load of medicine and have switched my diet around to only the most boring of foods. (At night, anyways). I'm trying to be super disciplined about it. Because I think this tour is going to be one of the best our band has ever done. I don't want anything to screw it up... again!

A couple days ago, the dudes came back to Los Angeles and we prepped for our new video. We spent all of yesterday shooting and as long as the day was, it was still pretty relaxing. Due to the nature of the video, it didn't seem like a work day at all!

ugh, i just noticed all the capitalization. it's not very bloggish of me.

anyways, we're on a plane. heading to chicago to get this tour going. i'm so stoked to hang with our friends and play rock shows. not to mention, see you guys. i feel like you all need a big e-hug. we've felt so supported! it's been really encouraging to see that you guys were more concerned that we take the week for me to recover rather than to keep hacking at my voice just for the sake of moving along. it's gonna feel so good to be on stage singing again.

as for meet and greets - of course, they are still on! there might be days where i don't talk as much... or at all, depending... but maybe you could all learn my whistle language that i made up, so we can still communicate. oh and we've brought cornhole (an awesome game) to play, though it might be too cold in some cities???

thanks again for hangin tough with us... see you in Chicago!!!

  6. This is what Hayley said:

It was meant to be a song on the record," Williams told MTV News. "It was one of the first songs we put together, and it just didn't work out ... the lyric was originally really sad and negative. It was, 'I lost all my friends since they got brand-new eyes.' But we didn't use the song, [and we] stole the lyric because we liked the sound of it. Basically, the concept is, 'In order for our band to move on to whatever's next — and also us personally, as individuals, in order to grow up — [we needed to start] seeing each other, seeing everything, in a whole new perspective. Just trying to let go of whatever we might have struggled with the past and just see each other in a new way."
