Wait no turns out it ended up in the kitchen....funny story. The box set was delivered when I was away for college when i got home friday my dad said he was listening to the cd. Turns out he likes Paramore.....extremely odd considering my dad hates everything i listen to bar John Fruciante.

I agree it sounded off...but I think it had to do more with the mic setup or something.

ok here's how I feel about the album atm. It could easily change once I listen to it a while longer but here it goes...

 

I think brand new eyes is pretty boring overall. The standout tracks are minimal and almost all of the songs seem a bit repetitive. Don't get me wrong, it a good album but for paramore's standards I think they could have done better. After hearing the lftb intro/ outro, miracle outro, and the acoustic version of my heart, all of which were created after riot came out, i was expecting more epic passionate songs. I find myself skipping a lot of key tracks on here simply because I don't even really remember them. Having said all of that my favorite songs are Careful, Where the lines Overlap, Brick by boring brick, and my favorite so far All I Wanted

I think people need to listen to each song 5 times before reviewing.

I wonder who has #1.....I think the guy who previewed for us the box set was #0 right? =]]]

So far I've listened to it twice all the way through. My faves are Playing God, WTLO, The Only Exception, Misguided Ghosts, and All I Wanted. Overall, I'd probably give the album about an 8.5 It's very good!!

I'd love to know what mics he used. I don't read much on audio gear though.. I just know he uses Shure mics.
