  1. Quick question for you guys, how much would you pay for this paramore poster (lightly used) m-paramore1.jpg and this shirt (in medium - lightly worn) !B8OL,Jg!Wk~$(KGrHqN,!k0Ey+jC1sigBM2,7vnKqg~~0_35.JPG in a bundle?

I was thinking $15, but if that's too much/too low, I can change it!

I'm a little sad to be parting with the tee shirt, because the material's so soft, but to be honest, I'm not as obsessed with paramore as I used to be, hahahaha.

    thanks everyone! <3

edit: if you're interested/want to give me feedback on the price, it'd be grand if you could message me. :D

  2. What makes mainstream music 'dead'? I'd argue the contrary, from my perspective, because now the mainsteam is being permeated with more and more rock/alt/punk type bands whilst still maintaining the archetypal pop, rap and indie which has been dominating the charts for however long. Mainstream music isn't dead, your interest in it might be.

I'd agree with Keith's sentiments though I'd say it's been more prevalent since the start of the 2000s.

Could be, but I think that music that sounds the exact same with similar whiney singers or songs isn't really "good music". Again, that's my opinion, but I don't think 'mainstream' has the same heart as it used to.

  3. probably a lot off topic here, but the discussion of Taylor Swift being at the Nashville show has really gotten me to thinking...

Anyone notice how it seems like everyone in music today is friends with everyone else? There's connections between artists that never existed in the 90's. I mean occasionally you'd see a brief collaboration between a couple of bands, but it always ended at that, and it was never really publicly known that any two groups were really friends with each other.

Today, you have Paramore is friends with Taylor Swift who's friends with John Mayer and Colbie Caillat who's friends with Jason Mraz, whose musical style is very similar to Jack Johnson so you have to assume they have some connections, and Train reinvented themselves to sound like Mraz and Johnson so they must have some sort of interaction too. And overall, we're talking wildly different musical styles too. It's not like two rock bands are friends with each other. I mean there's no way anyone could ever confuse Paramore and Taylor Swift.

I think, generally speaking, the musical landscape is much friendlier with each other than they ever were, and that's why we're getting so much great music.

I have to disagree with you there. I think mainstream music is dead, and you have to look under rocks to find good music. That's pretty much how I found Paramore.

    ^ yeah, it's pretty cool!

ah haylsbells, you got a setlist! thats great!

    Yes! I did! :D Thanks

  4. Hahaha. She didn't. I was in the pit in front of the sound/light booth. She was in the booth so she had a metal barrier around her and stuff. She also came out after Paramore started so the lights were dimmed and no one really saw her. She also left before the encore. She did a pretty good job at staying unnoticed to everyone. I think the only people that really knew where she was were the people that were close to her.

wow, that she did do a good job!! i guess she must be used to it, though.

  5. have fun!

yeah you have to be in front at when it's over beg one of the crew guys to give you a setlist haha

    I got one!! :D

    http://twitpic.com/2h38z2

a nice man named Chad gave it to me

Tell us how the Nashville show went!

it was pretty good, like the comment below pretty much. the crowd was DEAD for the openers. me and my mate were the only ones dancing and making any movement in the pit, it seemed. and some of the people were kinda bitchy. hayley started laughing at me when i started copying her dance moves hahaha, jeremy nodded at me, and taylor smiled. sadly i was on the opposite side of josh and zac :(

Just got back from the Nashville show.

    Incredible.

I wasn't expecting anything less from them. They didn't do anything special for it though. It was pretty consistent with the rest of the shows on the tour from what I hear. I was actually surprised they didn't do anything special. Hayley was talking and it seriously sounded like they were going to play Franklin, but they didn't. I was kinda bummed out. But seriously, show was great.

Taylor Swift was standing about 10 feet behind me. I know thats random, but I felt like it should be said. hahaha

I was sooo hoping for something special like Franklin. Or even All I Wanted! I also kinda expected for the bands to come out for OE or Miz Biz. And the girls who went up on stage for Miz Biz were kinda...Fayley-ish? Hahaha she was like :wtf: when they started doing her headbangings.

That's so awesome!! did she get ambushed or anything? and were you in the pit?

    sorry too many questions! haha.

I'm glad the show was awesome! Franklin would've been amazing, but maybe they'll play it on a whole tour in the future.

Haha, I also like how Taylor Swift is always in the audience for Paramore shows and not side-stage or something. Reminds me of a conversation I had with Brent (thebrowncoat) not too long ago about how the pit is the best place for a show ever. :)

    That'd be cool too :)

Well it depends on how the crowd is...this crowd was kinda lame...

  6. holy crap! I looked you up on YouTube! (my computers stupid about downloading things..) you should totally give a CD to paramore! I'm sure they'd love it! and you should totally sell them...you're wayy better than the piano tribute guys.

edit: just saw your post hahaha that's so awesome!!! let us know what they say! if they're super cool maybe they'll let you open for them at your hometown or something!

  7. Basically, I bought my ticket the first day they went on sale.

I took a standing place in the middle of the crowd, where there's always great atmosphere. :)

But without knowing it, when I ordered the ticket, my father's credit card was invalid, but I didn't knew about that, and I thought my ticket would arrive soon ... And as the days and weeks passed, I realized that my purchase had not been validated, too late though, because the concert was sold-out.

So I thought "okay, I'll buy a ticket on the spot, there are probably people who sell tickets behind the concert hall"

So, the day of the concert, I bought a ticket to a guy (twice the price), but it was a seating place in the side galleries... At first, I told myself that it wasn't that bad, that I could still see my favorite band, and that is what matters.

Except that it was more serious than I thought, lol. In the place where I was, nobody was moving their asses, and the atmosphere was terrible, while in the middle, in the standing places, where I should have been, people were having the time of their lives.

So at the end of the second song, when it got dark in the room, I climbed through the fence that separates the sides galleries from the standing seats,

jumped, and found myself in the crowd.

But a security guard saw me, so he took me, and pulled me out of the room. :(

After being thrown out, I tried to get inside again, but they wouldn't let me in. :(

I had to wait outside until the concert was finished, because I had to go home with my friend who was still in there ...

Well that's rotten luck!! You should have asked the security guy to get you an autograph at least! Woww...that's awful! Next time, bring a torch to light under the non-moving people's asses. It works.

...Hahah just joking, never tried it. But I have been in your situation. I was at a gig (gahh can't remember which one) and NO ONE was moving. Just the people in the very front so the band that was playing thought it was great, but no one else did. (I think it may have been paramore when they first stared out...can't remember) So I started shoving to the front when a bunch of people started yelling at me and shoving me back. But it got them moving!

You should go to Wembley this year, though. It was epic the last time. If you go, and if I go this year, maybe we can meet up?

  8. Stadiums tour is cool, but when they coming to Belgium ? lol

I've been to their last concert here, October 2009, but I've been kicked out of the concert room after the 2nd song, long story ... haha

They're my all time favorite band, and I've checked their live videos billions of times, I can't wait until they come back here, so I can, hopefully, watch their whole concert, lol.

hahahah why'd you get kicked out?! i was supposed to play a gig tonight but it fell through so I'm depressed. so tell meh!

  9. I liked the video. It had a band feel to it and the whole thing gave a sense of teamwork.

I liked how it wasn't centered solely on Hayley ha.

It looks like a fan-made video or random cuts from a DVD. They couldda done a reaally good video for Careful. =/

Yeah it's good but not so much for Careful. Maybe for Turn it Off. For Careful they could have done something sooo bad ash.

  10. Is it from that interview where he's all "since the 50s!!!"? lol

    Save up!! It's Wembley!!! :D

hahaha that and 'SIT THE FUCK DOWN!!!' sooo great. i get odd looks everytime someone phones.

^ i agree wembley is always the shit :D

Thinking back on the gigs I went to, I really miss them :( I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER!!! :D I think everyone needs to see Muse! No...we all need to go to Wembley!

wembley '07 was the shite. :D
