Hey guys and gals,

Glad to see everyone is so festive around the holidays and are off doing more productive things than wasting time arguing on here. Whew! Oh wait...

It's ok to leave here for a few minutes to see your families. I'm sure they miss you. Go open presents, and if you're not Christian, there's plenty of Chinese food and movie theaters open for the rest of us! Go see Tron, because it's that good. Come back here after you're all relaxed and this thread will look a lot more positive and welcoming

I get sad when I see her post sad things because I feel for her, but she sure does do a great job of putting her emotions on paper.

Zac song is epic. It is the style i like the most,so i am glad for him.

I agree. I think the song fits him well. Definitely feeling the vibe. Those who expect Zac to do more stuff similar to Paramore's style are not paying attention. This is what Zac feels comfortable with, and it's the kind of music he listens to. A great fit for him.

The new Tunnel stuff is exactly what I thought Zac would end up doing. He would always talk about the bands he listens to, and I'd wonder why he played such heavy music if he listened to bands like Sigur Ros. This makes more sense. It's not something I'd listen to on a regular basis, but if he enjoys making it, then that's all that matters.

 

Also, it doesn't matter when he started the band. Paramore knew he was leaving for two months, and that's when he probably started on this project. Even if he started earlier, it's really no big deal. Good for him.

I agree 100%. We knew Zac was into this kind of music, and it certainly fits him well. I actually really like the song, and look forward to more. I suppose one positive thing out of all this mass chaos is that even though Paramore split up, it increased the amount of bands with talent in the music industry (in my opinion). I look forward to more, and this makes me feel a lot better about where Zac is going with his life. After all, he is still really young, and hasn't had a normal life since he was a little kid. He needs this. Now he can lay low and do the music he feels more comfortable with at a level that is manageable for him.

Although I think anything the Farro brothers do from now on will be highly publicized and recognized simply because of their Paramore fame. So Zac may get an unexpected swarm of fans for a band that he might not have thought would get too many so soon, haha. But I'm sure he knows it's all out of love. And it helps show him that there were a lot of loyal fans of his, so I hope that warms his heart, knowing people do care about him. Not just Paramore.

I think it will be really interesting where things go from here. Chriss and I talked about it last night. Since the band is a trio now, maybe it will allow Jeremy and Taylor's personalities shine through more. Before it was always Hayley and then 4 guys. Now with less guys, it allows Jeremy and Taylor to get the recognition they deserve.

On the other hand, it sucks losing Josh and Zac, but I'll never be angry at them for their decisions. Just glad for the wonderful memories they both gave me. Sure, Paramore will sound different now, but different doesn't mean bad.

I also just listened to all of their albums again for nostalgia purposes, and I feel like the songs have a whole new life to them. After hearing the songs so much, I never listen to them again and again, especially long after an album has been released, but now that there's more to the story behind the songs coming out with Josh and Zac leaving, it breathes new life into them and so it's interesting in terms of music.

I'll stop rambling now, but sometimes it takes a lot to accept something has happened and that things change. Nothing lasts forever, and we're lucky Paramore didn't break up completely when they easily could have multiple times. They have faced great adversity in the past, and overcome it by leaps and bounds. I have full faith in what they will do in the future, and I wish Josh and Zac the best of luck with their future endeavors.

yeah it's worth it in a way. i've met some pretty awesome people from it and have been given great opportunities. took me a few years to win a m&g but thats ok. i post on the forum regularly its alright over there i wouldnt say terrible. it has it's ups and downs

I say it's worth it. They give you exclusive shirts and an optional hoodie each year which is worth more than the $30 fee alone. Plus all the early entry and meet and greet opportunities it's great. The forums do have a clique problem but if you pretend to be nice and act like you know everything about paramore you should be fine

For everyone saying they'd like a similar year-round theme, that's something you'd have to be really nice and ask Dustin about. He's already given us several skins for free (that people asked for) that he normally charges for, and he also did the redesign of the boards for free as well, which should have cost us a couple hundred dollars.

 

It's always possible he'll redesign this skin for us as well, but if he does, everyone really needs to thank him. He could be making a mint off of all of the stuff he does for this site, but he chooses not to and does it all for free because he loves the boards and everybody here.

And there is a possibility I can make a different version of this and take away the holiday stuff to keep it available all year, but it's a lot more than just removing the santa and snow man. There's a lot of things to do. But you may see this skin with an updated design and same color scheme eventually. Depends how much time I have on my hands after the holidays. It's always a possibility.

Chriss can change your email to your new one, and then you could try the password reminder email thing again and that should help you get back into your account.

So exciting! So glad Brand New Eyes went platinum, especially considering how difficult it is to sell records these days. I'm very proud of Paramore. Well deserved!
