Oh wow, one guy on youtube as posted the whole show, but has used some kind of screen capture program to save the stream. What a needlessly complicated way of doing it.
It's also screwed up the frame rate majorly. And the Levels.
-
Thanks for the Youtube tip, I hadn't looked there yet.
Though I too would still like to get an untouched copy if possible. And authorisation from the site admin is about as good as it gets, aside from the band themselves coming over to your house and posting the link for you
-
Full length? Preferably a lossless save of the live stream as it was happening.
PM me. Thanks.

Finally we are finished!
Many thanks to Ryan Horton/naryh89 for providing the fantastic second camera angle.

Damn, blood-fucking-sweat and tears here boys and girls. My project file has been ready since before christmas. Fully edited 2-cam, using youtube versions of the second video source as proxy files. The guy shooting the second source agreed to be part of the project. I send SD cards and a reader/writer to him to get the original camera files.
Now, over EIGHT FULL MONTHS later, I recieve the SD cards and reader/writer back in the post.
So here we are. I really, really enjoy watching this. Back when I posted the audio sources on DIME, I mentioned that Paramore were a guilty pleasure for me. Just to keep y'all updated, they have since progressed past that, past the stage of "Hmm, I somewhat appreciate their music" and are currently residing firmly in the "I fucking love these guys" stage. FYI.
Whatever your opinion is on the music of Paramore, you'd genuinely have to be dead inside to not watch this and marvel at the sheer level of effortless charisma this girl has - and at her age too. And no, "effortless charisma" is not a euphomism. Anyway...
Technically, not perfect - main problem is a fuck up on my part. Manual focus to avoid AF hunting, which is fine in concept. I set focus on centre stage perfectly at the start of show. Unfortunately, during a security duck in the second song, I accidentally knock the focus jog wheel a touch and it goes slightly out of focus until the acoustic section half way through the show when I notice and fix. At standard DVD resoultion, it's not that bad at all - that's how slight it is. But it is a problem, and it does mean that there will be no 720p version coming.
The second video source is fantastic - every song except one shot in almost entirety from the front row, just left of centre. Fucking crazy. When Hayley brings up the tambourine man during Misery Business he's standing RIGHT NEXT to the camera guy. OMG SHES POINTING AT ME- oh, no, it's that guy just over there
I also included an alternate audio source for the first half of the show - yes, Zac's IEM. Kind of trippy to watch and listen to that at the same time. I wonder if the new drummer plays with the same big fucking click track. I hope not, but he probably does.

Does anyone know if this Madrid "Under 18" festival is actually a festival?
The only mention I can find of it on the 11th July 2011 in Madrid is the Paramore show. No other acts, venues, etc. All the tickets I can find are labeled as Paramore tickets. The Spanish Ticketmaster
http://www.ticketmaster.es/main/en/index.do
for example, has only one result for "U 18" search - Paramore. "Under 18" has zero search results. "U18" has zero search results.
The official website
has no mention of a line-up, etc. In fact, it seems as though this "Under 18" thing is more of a promoter/organiser for headline shows, not actually a festival.
Anyone know if this is true? Is this just a mislabeled Paramore headline arena show? Or is it actually a festival?
Thanks.

LOL yeah, I know it's technically called a click track. But I've heard many click tracks that just click - and this one has beeping in it
I realise it's presence is helpful and everything, but it's still annoying from a (bootleggers') listening perspective.
I'm pretty sure Zac has some big subs behind him filling in the kick drum. It does sound very quiet on this, but if the air is thudding around him he probably doesn't need any reinforcement in his ears.

Quick DVD sample:
Not too shabby overall, IMO.

I'll take your word for it - I've never picked up a drum stick in my life, nor have I ever played live in a band, nor do I know the songs as well as if I'd been playing them for years, so I'm basically talking out of my arse TBH.This is pretty cool to hear, so thanks for posting it. It's awesome hearing things from Zac's perspective, and it's cool how they have the time changes set up so perfectly. Plus I'm a nerd and I started taking note of the time signatures, haha.
Also, I don't know if it's because I've been playing drums for 14 years or because I know these songs like the back of my hand, but either way, I didn't get lost in the songs once, so I understand exactly how Zac doesn't screw up.
On a somewhat related note, quick DVD sample:
Not too shabby overall, IMO.

Paramore
16th November 2010
LG Arena, Birmingham, England
Complete Audience Audio Recording
MP3 CBR 192Kbit/Sec, 16Bit 44.1Khz, Stereo.
Lineage.....: Church Audio CA-11 Cardioid Microphones > Church Audio ST-9100 Pre-Amp > Zoom H2 (24/48) > Adobe Audition 3 > CDWav > Traders Little Helper
Complete Audience tape. Not the best AUD tape I've ever done, but god knows it ain't anywhere near the worst either.
Biggest problem is a bunch of 4 annoying teenybopper girls directly to my right. Screaming and shrieking and clapping louder than you'd think possible. When the nearest girl starts to sing she basically drowns out Hayley. Fail. Note: I'm not actually complaining about her, I mean she was just enjoying herself, just a bit annoying from a taping perspective
I was off on the left side, and there weren't any speaker stacks pointing at us. Big main stack pointing forwards and the smaller stacks pointing 90 degrees off each side of the stage, but I was 45 degrees inbetween each of them. So I just pointed my hat torwards the stage and hoped for the best. As a result it's not as clear as it could be. Low end is a bit muddy. Vocals a bit quiet.
There's also some phasing issues in a few places. I was video taping too so I would occasionally move my head around to check for security. I tried to limit it to between songs so as to not mess up the audio too much. There's not too much. Only a second or two per song on average.
Overall it sound pretty nice. I'm sitting here trying to write this having to actively stop myself from headbanging to Misery Business, so while it may not be flawless on a technical level it's a good representation of what it was like at the show.
As I mentioned, I was also video taping. That will be made into a DVD and 720p MKV file, will take a while probably. A month or so.
And as I said in the IEM info, I actually really enjoyed the show. Paramore are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, and to be honest I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Especially as I was glued to my spot with a video camera in my eye, antenna poking out my shirt and more wires than I care to shake a stick at dangling down around me. But pretty awesome. A bit short. Not, like, really short, but 85mins is at least an hour too short for any concert IMO.

Please read a copy and paste of the info file below. The notes/comments are important before you download (because after reading most people probably won't want to download anymore!)
Links are at the very bottom of the post.
Proper complete AUD audience recording and HD video recording will be posted later. AUD probably later today, video will take a while.

Paramore
16th November 2010
LG Arena, Birmingham, England
Incomplete IEM Recording (technical interest only, unsuitable for listening for pleasure)
Zac Farro's monitor feed.
16Bit 44.1Khz, mono.
Lineage.....: Zac's IEM Transmitter > Icom IC-R5 > Zoom H2 (24/48) > Adobe Audition 3 > CDWav > Traders Little Helper
This is not a recording that is suitable for normal listening please. There are problems with it, see below. I'm only making this availible for: people who are enormous Paramore fans and want to experience (part of) a show from a different point of view, people who are bootlegging/audio nerds like me, and I suppose people who play the drums would find this interesting too.
This is a recording of Zac Farro's In Ear Monitor feed from the start of the show up until Decode. Unfortunately, he'd been experiencing some sound quality problems so when he went off for the quiet/acoustic part of the show they did something to his transmitter and I lost the feed. I didn't know I'd lost the feed 'cause I wasn't listening to it while taping.
So that's problem number one, it's only the first half of the show. Next problem is that Zac's IEM feed sucks big fat donkey balls. It basically consists of a BIG LOUND ANNOYING BEEPING METRONOME (capitalised for emphasis), then the drum kit loud just underneath... and that's basically it. A tiny tiny tiny bit of Hayley's vocals, and a tiny bit of one guitar. Don't know whose guitar. Unfortunately I was tuning frequencies during the final roadie mic test/setup so I didn't know whose feed was what or what was in each. If I'd have done it properly and got to outside the venue for soundcheck with a proper big-ass antenna I could have listened to all the feeds at my leisure and decided what to use. Oh well.
Honestly I don't know how Zac can play with this in his ears. Hayley is so low down if I were him I'd probably lose track of what verse we were on.
Reception is mostly pretty good. A few bursts of annoying static but not too many. There's more in the last 3 songs than the first few.
I've included over 11mins of preshow backstage chatter (all of what I was taping after I set my frequency), just for the hell of it. There's some mildly amusing crew singing towards the start and end, including some song about some guy called joey smoking a cigarette. Who knows man, who knows. Bear in mind the reception here is worse because the house lights were up so my receiver was in my lap. I transfered it to my upper shirt pocket once the lights dimmed and the show started. There's more interferance during the pre-show bit.
This is my first real attempt at IEM taping, and I've been just successful enough to make me want to drive up to Mancs on Friday and see if I can get anything better there. Not gonna be able to, but I want to.
I was also doing an Audience audio recording and video taping at the same time as this. Both those will be posted shortly, but this requires the least processing, so it's first.
I actually really enjoyed the show.

Thanks Ross, I've actually managed to find the set times for the specific show now.
One more quick Q though (to anyone) - how long have their shows been these last few dates? Approaching the full 95min set time? Or closer to 75ish?
-
Anyone know on/off times (supports too) at past shows?
Have had a quick look around the forum, can't find anything, and venue website ain't not helping.
Thanks.
Has anyone else noticed her voice lately?

Did she not listen to a word Manning ever said? He's constantly talking about singing with minimal strain and effort!
(Note, I'm not a singer, so I don't really know anything about this).
