  1. I agree with everything Chriss said above.

You're certainly entitled to your own opinion, but insulting any band members (past or present) or other members of these boards won't be tolerated and some of what I've seen in this thread and others crosses the line.

Personally, I think it's time for us all to move on from this topic - Paramore is now Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor. Let's talk about the future, not the past.

  2. ^ I laughed so much at that part. Poor Hayley, looking like a 12 year old boy with her hoodie on. :P

Haha, also, I met that 40-something guy who runs into her on the boardwalk. He's a PFC member, and he's actually super nice and not creepy at all. He was our barrier buddy at the AC show. :)

She is pretty incognito when she's got the hoodie on with the hood up. Plus, she's usually surrounded by people taller than her, so if you can't see the hair, you'd hardly know it was her.

On another note, Zac attempted to give me that giant jar of peanut butter. It was really large.

  3. I'm way behind on all of this and maybe I'm spoiling the surprise, but the chat will hold 50 users max, not 5 - paid a little extra for it, but it seemed worth it...

There's also a really awesome gallery that I purchased as an add-on that's fully integrated with the boards...the only real question is if we have to convert our current gallery manually or not...good lord, I hope not...that's like 20,000 images...but if we get this new gallery up and running, it's a big step up from Coppermine.

  4. Hi everyone! *waves*

Chriss figured out how to fix my password issues (how sad that I forgot my password lol), so I'm back...

Anyway, about all this Jon Howard stuff - this is straight from the band's management:

He's a friend of the band who is helping out with extra parts live so the band could try out some sounds from the record for fun. They didn't want to play to tracks.

That's all there is to it...now I can go forget my password again... (just kidding) :)

  5. This could be absolutely huge. WOW.

PARAMORE GOES FOR TOP SPOT, MARIAH IN HOT PURSUIT

Fueled by Ramen Punk-Rockers Hold the Edge Over Diva in One-Day Returns

    September 30, 2009

Paramore, the Fueled by Ramen punk-rock group whose 360-deal with WMG through Atlantic Records has proven a successful new model, look headed for a #1 debut on next week’s HITS Album sales chart, based on one-day sales reports from those retailers who still take our calls.

Brand New Eyes, the third studio album from the band, fronted by lead vocalist Hayley Williams, takes an early lead in the race with a one-day sales total that projects to 180-190k for the week. That gives them the edge over Island/IDJ diva Mariah Carey’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which is now on target for 160-170k. With a question as to how front-loaded those sales for Paramore are, Carey could close the edge if she has a brisk weekend.

Those two are among the five top debuts next week, all registering in six-figures, including Columbia legend Barbra Streisand’s Love is the Answer (150-160k), Hollywood rockers Breaking Benjamin (140-150k) and Virgin/EMI’s retooled grunge gods Alice in Chains (130-140k).

Columbia Nashville country darling Miranda Lambert’s Revolution heads the other newcomers, with a total approaching 65-75k.

WB Material Gal Madonna’s Celebration greatest hits album is in the 60-70k range, as is Interscope goth-punks AFI’s Crash Love.

Disney’s latest Hollywood Records crossover cable TV teen star Selena Gomez & The Scene is looking at first-week sales of 50-60k.

Rock on Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd’s latest, God and Guns, on Roadrunner’s Loud and Proud label, looks for an opening week total of 30-40k, same as Williams Street virtual death metal group Dethklok, from Adult Swim’s animated Metalocalypse series.

American/Columbia Rick Rubin-produced roots rockers Avett Brothers round out the debuts with 25-30k for their major label bow, I and Love and You.

The market was down 4% vs. last week, down 7% vs. same week last year and still down 14% year to date.

You may now return to stocking your underground fallout shelter with canned goods and other imperishable items.

  6. It's pretty good....more sophisticated than RIOT! but I'm still not super excited...I guess I'm just kinda over this band.

So you post in all the Paramore threads...why?

Anyway, LOVE this song. When I first heard it, I was so blown away by how different it sounded from what I expected - you read the lyrics and expect something so different from what it sounds like...

One of my 3 favorite songs on the album the first time I heard it...

  7. I'm not even sure what this thread is about anymore, but my guess is that you won't hear many BNE songs at this UK one-off show. It's still a few weeks before the BNE release date, so they'll likely tease a few songs off the record, but they're not going to show or play everything. Most likely, you'll get "Ignorance", "When the Lines Overlap", "Brick by Boring Brick" and maybe one or two more max.

The rest of the set will likely be the songs you'd expect to hear Paramore play live - Emergency, Pressure, Misery Business, crushx3, That's What You Get...basically the rest of the setlist from the No Doubt tour.

Now, for the U.S. headlining tour, I think we'll hear a pretty different setlist - most of the songs off BNE will likely be in the set and I think their intention is to pull out a few songs they haven't played in awhile too...

But we shall see... :) And I could be totally wrong. Just my guess.

  8. ^ yeah but i reckon they'll play some fan favourites just for fan service ;)

Yeah, they will. Misery Business, crushx3, That's What You Get and Decode are guarantees. Emergency and Pressure are extremely likely as well.

I do think it's kind of funny how people are speculating on which BNE songs might get played when no one's heard them yet :)

  9. Honestly, I've heard the songs from AWKIF and RIOT! so often, that if they dropped every single one of them from the set and just played every song off of brand new eyes, I'd be extremely happy.

Franklin, Miracle and Hallelujah are always songs I love hearing live, although I don't think any of the three will make the setlist for this tour.

  10. When we've sent Christmas gifts and care packages in the past, we've sent them directly to the band, but those aren't public addresses.

I don't know that they have any sort of official fan mail address. Your best bet may be to post your thoughts as comments to an LJ post Hayley makes - she often reads and responds to those.
