  1. Bought it, favorite is "Wanderlust"

    couple things from FB

We dont have an specific plans for a full-length album. We've got plenty of music nearly ready to go but we're not sure how it will be arranged yet. We're just trying to pump it out as fast as possible at the moment. I love making soundscape-y interludes and musical pieces. Sort of a glimpse into my future scoring films haha. There are a couple specific compositions that im dying to use somewhere/somehow - Blake

I think a full length album is inevitable and necessary eventually. What is music if not experimentation? -Blake

my favorite song is Wanderlust. i like that the lyrics are very straight forward, that was a challenge for me, but i dont always want to hide behind cryptic words. its how i truly feel and when i write, i have someone specific in mind who i want to hear it, thats the only way i can explain how i feel. - sierra

Catastrophe and Future will definitely see light. As well as our song Another Atmosphere and many others we've written these last couple of years. CANT WAIT

  2. [prays for perceptions on cd]

    i mean, srsly!

Our debut EP 'Neon' will be released on 1/14. It will be available for a "pay what you want" download via Bandcamp, regular download on Itunes & Spotify. Get our first single 'Neon' on 12/10! It will also be available on iTunes, Spotify & Bandcamp (Pay what you want).

Thank you for your support and more info to come.

    Blake & Sierra

    P.S.

Most of the songs intended to be released on an album we planned to call Another Atmosphere will still be released but in a systematic fashion... Including the intended title track, 'Another Atmosphere'.

    just about 2 weeks left.

really glad to know that the old songs won't be locked up forever and that we'll still get to hear them, even if it's not an official release.

hopefully this new direction they've taken with Neon is what they originally wanted with AA (like the Future preview, the "new music coming soon" stuff, the in the lab demos, etc).

  3. been vegan for two and a half years now

it's genuinely not hard if you take the time to know what you're doing and you're committed to the reasons you're doing it

    cravings go away too

i've reduced a ton of stuff incredibly, but not completely cut out.

i have low-fat plain yogurt, and some cheese, but i don't have eggs, milk or butter. i have almond milk instead (tastes great and has more minerals/vitamins anyway). and i eat chicken once a week. other than that, no other meat really.

i've also reduced my sugar, carbs, sodium and caffeine and increased my protein and fiber, and i take a multivitamin. this has made me lose about 8lbs of weight and my monthly cycle is now not destructive anymore (thank you Advil). i am feeling so much better. :)

  4. Yeah exactly what I meant. What a weird battle/conflict they've gone through...

Anyhow, we'll definitely be hearing new music from Versa now though, since they've cleared everything from FBR now that they've taken on the new name and were able to release the final video.

  5. Sierra said a few times over before all this happened that if she could change the name, it would just be "Versa". i think they've wanted to since they've become a duo, but weren't able to due to FBR's restrictions.

A fan asked Blake on Twitter why their changed their name and he said "We chose to", then the guy says, "no reason?". Blake responds with "Our sound has changed a lot. Also it's just Sierra and I now. Much different from the early days : )"

They definitely bought back the distribution rights from FBR to Perceptions though, which is why it was off iTunes + Spotify for a while and they just announced that it was back online.

  6. lol, three months ago i said this

I think they're finally off the label as they've re-done the album completely themselves now + due to the album not being out they've had to drop out of Warped.

As long as they'll give us the album they wanted to make, I'll be happy. It's a shame they've lost so many fans + interest in general. They're really (besides Paramore) the only female-fronted band who I think are capable of having worth for the scene. I see something huge in them, but they've clearly been held back by who they're working for.

i guess i was mostly right.

    Vultures!
As some of you have already noticed, our record label Fueled By Ramen has moved us into the Alumni section of their roster. It is true that we will no longer be a part of FBR, as we’ve decided to split ways. We’re extremely grateful to everyone over at FBR and want to thank them for all of the amazing work and time they’ve put into helping develop our band over the years. There is still new music on the way, although we wont be releasing anything until all business stuff is fully sorted. Thank you for always supporting us and being amazing fans. We love you!

  7. I was just reading Sierra's blog...This confirms my suspicions.

"Bands struggle, selling 25,000 units is not that great to a label, and even if you do buy a cd, artist rarely see the profits. It’s a backwards world today in music but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the support from your fans. I appreciate you all so much and I’m going to make more of an effort to personally connect with you all more.
Can’t wait to finish this record and get back out on the road!
Love you all and thank you!"

  8. The Alt Review (http://thealtreview.net) is looking for regular, consistent contributors to add to their team. We are not limited to genre when covering - pop, punk, metal, indie, jazz, soul, hip hop, EDM, you name it.

    4 album reviewers
    3 interviewers
    3 news posters

    Reviews/interviews/features - 2 a month is expected
    News posts - 10 a week (so 2 a day Mon-Fri, just for 3-5 minutes)

If you are too busy to be able to stay consistent in your contribution, it would be best not to apply.

It is required to have good knowledge of English grammar and spelling, to be willing to keep to strict deadlines and stay in regular communication with the Admin/Editor team.

Send an e-mail with the subject line "Contributor Application" to both lara@thealtreview.net and dylan@thealtreview.net

In the e-mail you must clearly state your name, location, education, work experience (if any), as well as links/attachments to previous writing samples. If you are strictly applying for news contributions, the writing samples are not necessary. Resumes are optional.

Please note the roles are unpaid but it's worth it in the long run as of course with any of these sites - you are getting into shows, interviewing bands you like, and having early access to albums for reviewing.

    Thank you.

  10. Didn't want to start a new thread so I'm just going to bump this (although it's not Paramore-related since I've managed to sell all my Paramore stuff)

All CDs are $5.20 (I have to pay eBay/Paypal fees) via eBay, in good - great working condition.
I only accept payments by PayPal w/ confirmed addresses + USA residents only.

    buy here: http://myworld.ebay.com/design467

I will remove items from the list once they're sold.

The Academy Is... - Almost Here
As Cities Burn - Hell or High Water
Crime in Stereo - The Troubled Stateside
Crime in Stereo - I Was Trying to Describe You to Someone
dredg - The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion
Halocene - Can You Hear Us Now?

  11. Hi smile.png I have a music site that has news, interviews, album/show reviews. http://thealtreview.net

I'm looking for 2-3 contributors. 18+ and really good with English obviously, and having an open mind when it comes to different genres helps because we like to branch out!

I'd want someone who can write at least 2 reviews a month. If you or anyone you know would be interested in helping out, e-mail me - lara[at]thealtreview[dot]net

  12. How much does FYE pay? You could also check out Amazon as a way to sell things. They charge the buyer a shipping fee that is given to you to use for Media Mail or Expedited shipping, so you rarely have to use what you just made from the sale for shipping.

I gave in 5 CDs to a local record store & got $12.07 in cash  But it's alright, my priority is the items I have on eBay (reduced the prices on the poster/sticker set) & the signed CDs instead.
