    I should probably stop.

  2. It's like it's institutional zombification. Forget the T-Virus, jus' hand out a few copies of some celebrity gossip magazine, turn their brains to mush and take their money at the same time.

They're not some kind of higher being, they're jus' money-hungry, half-human puppets.

So having some level of success makes you a money hungry, half-human puppet? I can think of a number of celebrities that are generally decent, caring, altruistic human beings. Yeah, there some celebrities who seem to have fame for no apparent reason, and the sort of following that celebrity gossip gets can often get out of hand. But if celebrity culture even ranks on your list of worldly ills, you're the one who needs to wake up.

    SO EVERYBODY GET STOKED!!!!!:hyper: :willy_nilly:

I'm there. Oh man, this year is going to be great, if this is any indicator.

  4. ^Aw really. Both times I met the band Pete was extremely nice. He was thanking everyone for coming to the show & trying to have a little conversation with all of us.

Really? That does seem very nice. But from his interviews and various other press, he just doesn't come off as...the nicest person in the world. xD

  5. I woke up early on my born day, I'm twenty years of blessing

The essence of adolescent leaves my body now I'm fresh in

My physical frame is celebrated cause I made it

One quarter through life some God-ly like thing created

Got rhymes 365 days annual plus some

Load up the mic and bust one, cuss while I puffs from

my skull cause it's pain in my brain vein money maintain

Don't go against the grain simple and plain

When I was young at this I used to do my thing hard

Robbin foreigners take they wallets they jewels and rip they green cards

Dipped to the projects flashin my quick cash

and got my first piece of ass smokin blunts with hash

Now it's all about cash in abundance, niggaz I used to run with

is rich or doin years in the hundreds

I switched my motto -- instead of sayin fuck tomorrow

That buck that bought a bottle could've struck the lotto

Once I stood on the block, loose cracks produce stacks

I cooked up and cut small pieces to get my loot back

Time is Illmatic keep static like wool fabric

Pack a four-matic that crack your whole cabbage

    Yes, I posted a verse.

    'Cause Nas is amazing.

  6. I liked the new album. It wasn't bad at all, but I couldn't get in to it. Purely because of Pete Wentz. No offense to anyone, but he's the kind of douche-bag that makes me want to go chill and have a drink with Axl Rose. =/

  7. why does everyone get so mean?

this is a paramore forum. i dnt get why were calling some of there songs "fucking aweful"

Because some of us aren't blind to the fact that even our favorite bands can have REALLY shitty songs?

Metallica's one of my favorite bands. I'd rather drive a fucking spike through my skull than listen to anything off of St. Anger.

  8. I haven't listened to them in a really long time. I got kindof bored of them cuz they became sort of a trend where i live and i just got sick of hearing them 24/7 and seeing their shirts on everyone.

That shouldn't stop you from listening to something as amazing as Nirvana. Just take comfort in the fact that you probably know the music much better than they do. =P

Incesticide was actually the first album I heard by them, but I lost my burned copy of it 2 days after I got it lol. I remember being scared of Hairspray Queen

Dude, I'm still scared of Mexican Seafood. And Beans from the boxset.

Anyway, James is right, you did list the shittest songs. Except for We are Broken, which is just fucking awful.

I think people here have been confusing "average and cheesy" with "fucking awful."

We Are Broken = average and cheesy.

    = fucking awful.
  9. lol bleach was the worst imo. i like it but out of the main three it just doesn't measure up. in utero beats both bleach and nevermind.

Agreed 100%. In Utero actually is more raw, honest, and just overall better than anything else in Nirvana's discography. =P

I know a kid at school that insists that Incesticide is their best record. It boggles the mind. lol

  10. Oh, and the fact that RIOT! sucks ass may also make it look better.

    I liked Riot!. lol

It's really not THAT terrible. There's way worse shit out there, imo.

I wonder if pre-1991 Nirvana fans were like this when Nevermind came out. "Man, fuck Nevermind! Bleach is so much more raw, honest, and just overall better!"

  11. But, when did you start listening to Paramore, anyway?

The first time I heard All We Know Is Falling was during my freshmen year (2006). I went over to one of my friend's house, and she was really into Paramore at the time. She asked if I, "liked punk," which, if my username didn't give away, I really love punk. So she put the CD in, and within the first few seconds of All We Know, my hopes of hearing the next Minor Threat were gone. Once I got over that initial disappointment, I rather enjoyed it. Nothing amazing, but a good, catchy pop/rock record none the less.

The next time I listened to Paramore was around the time Riot! blew up. I listened, and noticed a good bit of artistic growth (inspite of how horribly over-produced it was. But what else do you expect from Bendeth?), but I had a similar reaction when I finished listening: it was good, not great.

I actually bought The Final Riot! though. They have one hell of a live show. So I guess you could call me a casual sort-of-fan?

  12. Because, I think the album itself revolutionized the teen rock industry. Other than the fact that it's a beautiful record, it had rock feeling that brought a feeling of joy. I honestly think it's one of the most inspirational records of the decade. I find it inspirational because I think it brought about a lot of female fronted bands and that kids so young can make the music that they did.

I'm gonna stop because I can go on...

No, please, go on. These are the kinds of answers I'm looking for.

  13. Okay. A lot of people here talk about this record as if it's some sort of modern masterpiece. Am I missing something here? By no means is it a bad record, but, it's not that great, either. For me, it feels like an average record by a band that shows a great deal of potential. An amount of potential that has still yet to be fulfilled.

So I ask of you, please, explain to me why this record is so great. And don't take this as some sort of attack. I am genuinely curious.
