  1. I understand completely. and I apologize for what I said... and like both of us have said. saying one curse word by no means makes someone a nonchristian. that in itself is a completely fair statement and i agree with it totally. I was just a little flabergasted by it yesterday and I had to let off some steam... I dont know for sure what went on during that interview, but I guess I am just going to pray that the band continues going in the same direction that they were going. Again, I am sorry, but still disappointed.
  2. ok, sure maybe she was misquoted, but that statement in itself is a mega assumption. and ok, and true, swearing, by no means, makes you not a christian, but for one to swearin a recorded interview... that makes it very hard for me to see that person the same way. I understand that they havent come and flat out said that theyre christians, but the evidence does seem to support it... I mean, they are on christian music stations, hayley has made many references back to church activities she has taken part in, and they (until now) have done a great job of not conforming to the secular (and somewhat crude) ideologies of most fueled by ramen bands... and to say that this conversation has nothing to do with this message board which was spawned from the intervue that created it is just crazy...
  3. yeah i guess youre cool, but its my personal moral stance on the subject and I was incredibly offended by her compromising her own moral standards for some dumb interview. I know that probably sounds stupid to you but you obviously have poor standards.
  4. Yeah, I wanna believe that ,but its hard, now that I know it was only an act. I have no clue how im am going to break this to all of my paramore coverts...
  5. oh yeah, and I believe that a band is soo much more than what their music portrays, I mean paramore was pushed up to my favorite band not just because their music was great but because they SEEMED like nice people and I got to meet them and they WERE nice people...
  6. oh wait! i think i have a word... crapped? and i dont buy that slip up story at all... the word was an obvious add-in, to increase the "humor" of the story...
  7. i really dont care if she like bumps her toe hard on something at her house and says something rude... but in an interview?! there's no excuse. I have spent soo much time spreading the sweet paramore love to impressionable around my school, assureing them that paramore was a "safe" family friendly and dare-I-say-it christian band, but I just dont know now...
  8. Yeah, that was a bunch of crap... I mean what in the world hayley!? Why would you swear!? I dont understand... I am literally speachles, and unbelievably disappointed. If it was anyone else, I wouldnt have cared... but not you! I was so impressed with you guys... you took a strong stand on a label filled with bands that feel as though swearing somehow makes them more hardcore or "cool"... you have always been such an inspiration to me, but now... I just dont know... Dont get me wrong people, Im not a stick in the mud, like I said, anyone else wouldnt have bugged me, but frankly... I have been crushed... sigh
  9. First off, Hayley, I'm soo sorry to hear about your blood blister. I've known a few people how have had them, but never in their throat. It doesn't sound fun. I'm praying for you, and I hope you get better soon, but I hope that you can understand my aggrevation at arriving at purple door after a six hour drive only to discover that the only reason I came, wouldn't be playing. I won't lie; I moped around for quite awhile until I was informed that Hayley was, in fact, sick. You can bet that my friend and I looked quite foolish decked out in our matching Paramore apparel and holding our Paramore signs. By the time Paramore was supposed to play I was very tired of people approaching me and informing me that "Paramore isn't playing, dude." Oh well, sorry about all my crying, Hayley, it's not your falt!!!! I believe now that God was teaching me a lesson in patence and disapointment. Perhaps I'm just a sucker for punishment, but I think my friend and I are going to drive ANOTHER five hours to see you guys play in New Jersey. So, Hayley, if you ever read this, keep an eye out for us in the crowd holding posters and loving every second we're spending in you guys' rock-out-loud presence. I love you guys so much. Get better soon; stay cool forever! PS Come play in Waldorf, MD PLEASE!!!!
