  4. I knowwww wow. I can't believe I've been here over a year. And when I came back I'm like...I don't know anyone. Haha it's down the east coast. Not cool populated like NY...boring and rural with lots of nature. Haha. OHMYGODAREYOUREALLY?!?!?! I am sooooooo going to hunt YOU down now there and hang with you for real! Where are you gonna be? Oh yes the ENGLISH college...I'm still confused by your school system! I am not at AMERICAN college right now seeing as the move screwed up a lot of things...hopefully I start in january. ><
  5. Haha I KNOW RIGHT? SERIOUSLY! It's crazy madness. We used to have some good times back in the dayyyyyyy. I've been alright...I moved to North Carolina, so technically I am not really on Long Island...but I don't have the heart to change it. It's so boring here. xP How are YOU?!
  6. Haha that's exactly what I was thinking. Parrrrrrrrramore Like she's purring it or something.
  7. ME TOO. This song always gets me emotional as well. I have live versions of it and those hit me so much harder...with the "whoa's" and such.
  8. ^ Me too! I've never seen it before then. Anyone have this picture? I love the colors.
  9. Aww that one is from that Kerrang! photoshoot they did. Nicest article I think Kerrang! ever printed about them. They opened up about a lot of stuff...I loved that article. I actually had that article sent to me from someone in the UK because I wanted it so badly.
  10. I have many counter statements and such, but I don't think it's really getting me anywhere. I understand your point, but I don't believe it. I hope you understand mine as well. Debates don't always mean you have to sway the other opinions...I hope you can simply take something from this and see the whole situation a little clearer. You're free to have your own beliefs of course, I was just defending mine.
  11. I feel like this debate is a circle. I understand your point, but you also DO NOT understand the christian religion OF TODAY. Years change and evolve people, religion, and the world. The christian religion has been influence by this evolution, and I made my communion and confirmation and went to bible class to do so. We were always taught the positive of the bible, help others, love others, etc. Certainly in todays age they aren't going to start a second crusade against all those with a different religion. Sure, there are still those crazies out there with those notions. BUT THE VAST MAJORITY of the religion today want to follow the good teachings of the bible and the religion. Go to one christian mass and you will see.
  12. What exactly do you even know about the religion? Obviously nothing, because everything you're saying is one big judgement or another. You know, I once didn't have faith, simply because it was forced upon me by my parents. I found my faith ON MY OWN. I am proud of that. And I can stand here and say proudly I believe in God, and follow my religion to the best of my ability, and part of my religion is God forgiving my mistakes and accepting me for who I am. Which means I won't be burning in Hell. I don't think I should have to sit here and justify my or Paramore's religion to you. If you look down on them or me because of our religion, you're not such an accepting person yourself, as you so claim the Christian religion is full of biggots and ignorant people.
  13. I agree. :] If the band members were as intolerant as you suggest, we'd certainly see it. EXACTLY that is my main qualm with the argument...almost suggesting that Paramore are these biggots of some sort for their religion. Which...just, no. :/
  14. I think, if you read that article posted above (which I think is a really lovely article), you'll see it a little differently. Hayley says: "We're out here playing our music and we believe He's blessed us with his talents, but we don't go up onstage and shove it down people's throats. That's the first mistake and that's the reason Christians are looked at the way they are today. So many people think that Christians think that they're better than everybody else." It may be in their faith to believe that stuff, but that doesn't mean that they do. I classify myself as christian, but I am a full supporter of gay rights, one of my best friends is gay, I was in the GSA in high school. I have very liberal views. It's not right to assume anything simply based on what one believes, and I think that is exactly what Hayley is adressing. on the flip side if they don't think those things then they don't have conviction in their faith and so what is the point in labelling yourself with it in the first place? Now, I don't believe that at all. The bible was written so long ago, and the times have changed. So have people and their views. One can believe whatever they want and be whatever they want, and be fully comitted to their faith. I doubt anyone follows the bible 100% anymore (they're sick if they do), so are you saying that the majority of the world are liars? Faith and virtue are two different things, but they go hand in hand. Your faith can give you good virtues, which is why most have faith in the first place. And what do you mean by "higher up in the social order"? Are you referring to God, or saying that, for instance, poor people only believe in God because it's something to give them hope? But in Paramore's case, as I've said, they can believe what they want and not be ashamed of it. Their morals have helped shape them into the people they are today: good, caring, talented people. Why hide who they are?
  15. Here's one...I'll keep looking for the others. You can actually find the pic here: http://www.paramore.net/artist?name=hayley
  16. Huh? They don't preach, so what exactly upsets you about it? I don't mind them stating what they believe in, because I've never once seen them use it as a means of influencing others. They're not ashamed of it and they shouldn't have to hide it.
  17. Ha, well Riot! is barely out, but for the next record I would really LOVE heavier stuff mixed with their old school AWKIF roots. I will be in heaven, since Riot! fell short for me.
  18. ^ Haha I didn't know if anyone would get it. I watch a lot of America's Next Top Model. But I seriously do love that picture and fierce is the only word to describe it!
  19. ^I agree Hayley looks so FIERCE in that picture. Tyra would be proud.
  20. I can't live, I can't breathe unless you do this with me... The Adventure - Angels & Airwaves
