Mines kind of funny. It was the All We Know is Falling CD. It was around January 2006 and we (my family) were in Atlantic City. Though it was only about an hour from my house, I wanted a new CD to listen to on the way home. I can't even remember the name of the store but, me being a 10-year-old, looked for anything with a cool cover haha. I saw AWKIF and I remember saying "that's a cool red couch" and bought it. Didn't know who they were, what genre they were, or even that the singer was a woman! Life changing experience all because of my taste in awkward furniture. Ridiculous how young I was when I got into them and I'm STILL in love with them haha.

That has to be the best Paramore discovery story I'd heard

I got it on eBay (not the same auction as the one that photo's from I don't think). Can't remember when exactly, some time in 09 I think, maybe very late 08. I remember seeing it and really wanting it because it wasn't one I'd seen online a lot. It arrived and was just maybe a tiny little bit too small for me but I didn't care. Luckily I don't think I've grown that much since so it still fits but I doubt it'll last me much longer.

I read about this somewhere and I don't know how I wasn't more excited. But hearing about it again now, I'm really looking forward to it. And this 'darker' sound is interesting. Songs like 'Ignorance' were described as darker by some and I loved them so they should be pretty awesome!

The way Taylor was grinning in the background makes me thing that the set change they mentioned is 'All I Wanted'. I really really want to hear that live so I hope it is

Although a lot of this was just, as Sam said, 'speculating about speculation' from the presenter I'm glad they did this so I could actually hear their opinions all laid out together (the past, the breakup, the future, etc) despite the fact it has been edited. He mentioned that the full (and, from the way he said it, I assume unedited) interview would be up online after this so we can see how much editing has been done.

I think they have been honest in doing this. It must have been hard for them to address it all so soon but it's clear they want a fresh start for 2011 and some sort of closure. Hopefully this is really the last word. As long as Josh, Zac and what is now Paramore are happy in this fresh start then that's what matters.

If it helps any, I use this (http://hotspotshield.com/) to watch hockey games that are broadcast online for the US/Canada only. That should work for those outside the US for this Paramore stream, no promises though haha.

Here'a much better picture of Hayley's new tattoo (and Taylor making a face behind her). It doesn't look like a little kid colored it in with a Sharpie. It actually looks pretty good, I think.

 

I like it. The placing looks better from that angle than it did on the other photo. And since she's started wearing skirts on stage sometimes you'll actually be able to see the tattoo. But it's still high enough up her leg than she can cover it up if she was wearing some sort of dress at an award ceremony or something.

Anyone know if the stream on Friday will end up only being viewable in the US? A lot of MTV.com's videos usually are (cause they expect us to use .co.uk although it hardly has any of the same stuff on it) and it'd be just my luck that I wouldn't be able to see it.

Josh and Zac (although I get the impression it was more Josh) have told their side of the story, now its Hayley, Jeremey and Taylor's chance. If Josh retaliates again with an MTV interview then hopefully they can just say "We've said what we want to say. It's over now" rather than it turn into a fight.

While her voice has definetly matured and she is, no doubt, an utterly amazing singer I was beginning to think it was going downhill a little too. On a lot of songs she sounded brilliant then on some she sounded like she was struggling. I think it really does depend on the song and it's place in the setlist. Brick By Boring Brick tends to be sort of shouted and a little raspy sometimes but it's been right at the end of the setlist since the BNE 09 tour so it's expected I gurss.

But she has a couple of months off now then there's the time recording the album which won't be so full on. I can imagine when they come back with the new record she's going to sound better than ever. I can't wait.

Looking at Josh's discography he's played drums on several albums I listen to and I'm sure he'll be able to handle Paramore's songs as he's played for quite a range of genres.

Good to hear Justin's back, ever since the announcment was made about Josh & Zac it seemed he would be one of the first choices to fill in again, if not join on a full term basis.

2011 looks good

Ever since I saw the shirt Hayley wore at the Wembley gig back in Dec 09 I really wanted something similar but I found out she had written "RATHER BE [DEAD - crossed out] ALIVE" on her top rather than buying it like that. So I finally decided to make my own with Sharpie

I'd never been on it actually so I just decided to have a look. It's quite hilarious how far some of it goes. All the stuff about Hayley/Chad, Josh/Jenna, etc is pretty bad I'll say. They're talking about them as if they're just characters in some TV show or something. That's people's life's they're disecting and to be honest it has sod all do to with them who the hell anyone in Paramore is dating/married to, etc.

I know the post is one sided but it feels so bitchy, as if he's really trying to have a dig at the band. I had no idea they were all really this unhappy. But, as previously said, they MUST have been happy at some point. Throughout the entire blog it seems he hates Hayley, but there must have been something between them for them to have dated, and for the band to have lasted 7 years. People will probably disagree with me here but I'm sort of angry at Josh for being so horrible and dark about it all, he's basically just told every Paramore fan that the band were a lie - all the albums, the shows, etc all a fake.

I don't even want to think about it too much to be honest. Paramore are who they are now. If Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor were one half of a previous divide in the band then we know it isn't there anymore. I've got a feeling a lot of songs from the past three albums will probably lose a lot of meaning to me but hopefully the future for Paramore and Zac & Josh will be better than what the past 7 years supposedly has.

It's only natural that Hayley get's a lot of attention. To a majority of people she's the only one actually speaking (or in this case, singing) a language they understand. If someone doesn't play drums or guitar, etc they don't pay as much attention to that and are more focused on the singer since they can understand the lyrics being sung. Someone who actually plays an instrument can listen to a song and zone in on that specific instrument because they understand it more, if that makes sense. That's why in foreign songs (and screamo songs too actually) where I can't understand a word the singer's saying, I tend to be able to focus on the actual instrumental of the song more.

Not been online for like two days, trust it to be the two days that this all comes out on.

Honestly can't believe it.. I knew there had been a stuff said about Josh not being as relaxed as he used to be but I thought it was just him adjusting to the new sort of 'mainstream' thing. One of my first thoughts was 'Hayley's not going to be able to shout 'Hey Josh!' before the Misery Business solo now!'

And I thought Zac seemed fine, I remember reading the thing about him missing home but it just seemed like a natural thing for anyone in a band. I didn't know it was this serious

As a lot of people have been saying, it won't be the same. But that's not exactly a bad thing I guess. This is a new chapter for them. An it means now everyone's happy, in the band or not. It wouldn't have been fair on Josh or Zac for them to continue if they weren't comfortable in the band anymore.

Need to time to get used to this news. I think we'll all have to. As cheesy as it may sound I think it's definitely the end of an era
