HOMOSEXUALS" i was sittign there getting piss. i was like who the heck do you think you are??? gosh. annoying people. and i don't care how people label paramore. cuase i love them. and to me, they're just music. BassistDerek Posted March 9, 2006 Report Share Posted March 9, 2006 according to wikipedia- emo as a genre of music - includes bands such as weezer, jimmy eat world, death cab for cutie, etc. the OLD emo as a genre of music referred to the performance, where the vocalist and/or other performers were over dramatic while playing. emo as a trend - originated in france, includes the black hair over one eye, tighter pants, slip on shoes etc. my favorite part: EMO MUSIC AND THE EMO TREND ARE COMMONLY MISUNDERSTOOD AS RELATING TO ONE ANOTHER. yeah. Music doesn't have to be labeled and lumped into this box or that box...good music is good music, period. That's why I always hate when people ask me what kind of music I listen to and I'm always like, ummm, and then I just start naming bands. And, of course, what they wanted was for me to respond with some label or some genre that doesn't really mean anything.
