HarlequinGerhl
"oh, gloryyyy" could be taken as spiritual but idk hallelujah as well maybe but its just about how you interpret a song

HarlequinGerhl
^ well from the thing in kerrang she said it was about facing chaos and going through alot of terrible stuff in your life but then being able to stand there and say "I'm going to make it through and i'll come out the other end really strong." =)
calciumwaste
the word Hallelujah means "praise the lord" if that helps.

XMusicDudetteX
I guess it depends on how you interpret the songs. Sure, they can be spiritual if you want them to be. Who knows what Paramore interprets them as.
Largo
Exactly, music (especially lyric-wise) is completely subjective, like any good art. You form your own opinions on what it means to you, and that's why it's good. I'm sure that Hallelujah could've been influenced by spirituality, as the title is pretty indicative of it, but I mean...it doesn't necessarily have to mean what Hayley wrote it to mean to her. Wow, I just said mean like eight kazillion times didn't I?
