Itsgettingcloser
So in a class of mine we were discussing the psychology of hearing and why our brains interpret certain arrangements of sounds (particularly music) to be pleasing to us. The discussion basically steered towards mainstream media and how we fall sucker to catchy hooks, when 90% of mainstream music is basically the same chord progressions. And how when we hear music that does not have this initial impression on us but grows on us we are learning to become more receptive and mature listeners by expanding our spectrum of new and pleasant ideas. So today go out and listen to something new that you have never heard of just for fun.
