An absolutely sublime irish singer songwriter with a haunting voice that just resonates long after you listen to her. I've never really listened to Norah Jones, but I was under the impression that she's kinda laid back and jazzy while KT is more spunky.

I'm "getting" the album now and I should be able to get those mp3's within a day or two.

I'm not a huge fan of her music, but she is undeniably talented. I saw her perform "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree", just her a guitar and a recording device which is activated by footpedals. She got on stage and tapped a tambourine a few times, recorded it, looped it. Then clapped a beat, recorded it, looped it. She drummed on her guitar a bit, recorded it looped it. Then she did the ooo oooohs on the song and started playing the guitar and doing the song. The result was a incredibly rich sound, it was almost like a whole band was there but it was just her, a guitar and a pedal. She even busted out a kazoo... absolutely fantastic.

I saw them here in the UK last year.... with My Chemical Romance supporting!!!! Twas the awesomeness.

Silence... now there’s something to talk about Quick! Quick! Think of something to say, The girl of your dreams is slowly walking this way. Should you start with a joke, or maybe a “hey.... ...how are you doing on this damn fine day?” Come on! let the words all flow out But you’re overanalyzing and having your doubts Just stop stalling, and just open your mouth. And quickly find something to talk about. [Chorus is terrible so far, but I’m open to suggestions] As the silence grows longer, it gets more awkward. She walks right past you, she keeps moving forward. On a downward spiral you are descending And you know that this won’t have a happy ending. I'm not sure if I should bother having another verse or just repeat the first one again followed by the chorus, I just keep pushing myself in the corner with my use of cheesy rhyming couplets

I'm not sure how many Americans have heard of them or not but they're quite possibly the most hyped band to come out of the UK for long time. While and their debut album couldn't possibly live up to the hype, it is still a very fine piece of work and is the fastest selling album ever in the UK. I think they're streaming most of their songs in myspace and purevolume. Check them out.

I know this may be a long shot considering these guys are Japanese but they do seem to have a small western following, Just wonder if anyone hear listens to them at all.
