Here's a really easy way to convert YouTube vids for your iPod.

Get the Firefox browser.

Download the Greasemonkey extension - http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org

Then' date=' go to http://www.userscripts.org and search for the Download YouTube Video script - install that.

The next time you watch a vid on YouTube, you'll see a Download Video option underneath the video - click it and you can save the file to your desktop as an .flv file.

Then, download and run the Videora iPod Video Converter at http://www.videora.com and covert it over to mp4 format and voila - video on your iPod![/quote']

Thanx!!

That's very cool! :)

i think i did something wrong, because i installed everything, and i dont see that..

Hrm - make sure you're using Firefox. Make sure GreaseMonkey is turned on (you should see a little monkey head in the lower right-hand corner of your browser.) Make sure you installed the right script from userscripts.org. The download video link should show up at the very bottom of all those blue links that show up under the vids on YouTube.

I should have also said that these instructions are for PCs. I have them for Macs as well and they're very different - are you using a Mac?

It i really simple, and you dont have to download firefox.

Go here:

http://keepvid.com/

then copy the youtube video URL that you wanna rip into he address bar on that site, and choose "youtube" on the options beside it. then just wait for the download link, and when it appears, right click and "save target as"

then all you have to do is convert it with videora
