blu
Sorry if it's already been posted. Paramore in danger of missing Carling Weekend: Reading Festival slot Aircraft problems means Hayley Williams and co are running very late Paramore are in danger of missing this year's Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals - potentially making it two years running that they've canceled an appearance at the event. NME.COM has learnt today (August 24) that the band's appearance tomorrow is in doubt due problems with their flights from America to the UK. This follows the 2006 festival when the band had to cancel at the last minute because frontwoman Hayley Williams was ill. Having just finished playing the American Vans Warped Tour, the band have had trouble getting a flight out of the country. "The band were due to fly into the UK today, but after an airport closure in the US, they have been forced to change their flight schedule," a spokesperson for the band told NME.COM They added: "At this point, we cannot guarantee that Paramore will make their 12 noon slot on the main stage at Reading festival (tomorrow August 25), as the band may not be able to get on site in time. They land in London tomorrow morning, and we are trying our best to get them there on time." According to the spokesperson the band are currently in contact with the event's organisers about moving their main stage slot. Their appearance at the Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival the following day (26) should not be effected.

jad93
I think you should change the title by the way and put (Reading festival) because they might not make their Reading festival slot, but they are going to make it to leeds. It says so in the article : 'Their appearance at the Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival the following day (26) should not be effected.'

nemesis90
i got his email from fbr Hi everyone, Due to unforseen circumstances the band have been held up getting into the country. As a result the band's time for signing at the NME tent at READING has changed to 6:45-7:30pm on Saturday. The Leeds singing on Sunday stays at 2-2.45pm. Times may be still be subject to change so do keep checking for the NME signing tent for updates. For the same reason, the Reading on-stage time may also be subject to change - if any change occurs it will be posted on NME.com as soon as possible so please check there for updates. See you there! thebrowncoat
^In other words, they're going to be there. I think NME jumped the gun a bit in reporting this. They'll probably be exhausted, but I think they'll get there and play.
