Ashley
That's part of the reason people overseas are bit more "crazy" when it comes to meeting some of the bands. The bands do alot of touring here so if we miss them we can always see or meet them another time. with overseas fans they really don't get that option much. lewymocha06
There is a point in every rising artists career where they simply stop coming out after the shows, it just becomes too much.
Pã®ãwhø®ë
after the feb 17th 2006 show I went to they were at the merch stands there selling their 1st cd and chating with fans...you would never get that chance nowadays
gloria_fades
I think if they just be calm about the situation when greeting a big number of fans and have 2 or 3 security gards on location to help control the situation, then I think it would work but no they have to try and dodge the fans and hide in their tour bus, they think their fans have to pay money to a fan club which only has usefullness to their American and Canadian fanbase and not to overseas fans, I'm sorry but this band are trying to push themselves away from their fans even more and their UK and European fans aren't "crazy" we give a lot of devotion and respect to the bands and artists we admire. I know that as a band gets bigger their connection to their fans may stray a bit but by creating this fan club which does no justise for the band, it has nothing which can really entise anyone, as for the meet and greet you just have to cross your fingers and hope that their management or whoever runs it picks you, which is stupid, if you pay the money and are going to the gig and you are able to make it to the meet and greet then all members of the fan club should be elagable to go to the meet and greet not a "select few". I'm sorry for ranting on like this but I sometimes feel on this board that I am the only one who speaks their mind on certain subjects which I feel need to be pointed out, I love the band each and everyone of them and the music they create but some of their business tactics and ideas are just way off the mark. Ross
A couple of my friends met Hayley uptown before the last Glasgow gig shopping. I dunno if she'll be out this time after playing two nights at GIAN in a row, plus all the travelling and whatnot. I don't think any of them would come out really, Sheffield > Glasgow is a long trip.
