  1. $20 ang shirt sa hottopic, and mga 15$ to 20$ sa fbr.com store. Wala pang taxes both. And if your getting from the fbr store, may S&H pa. I think Hot Topic has two Paramore shirts for girls, just check out their site hottopic.com Hoodies are 30$ up. Red Horse! Haha. But seriously, I miss local beer. Beer here in the States are just blah, walang sipa. And I miss killer Gin pomelo mixes. Takteee.
  2. Yeah, at least you still understand it. How long have you been here? All your life? 'Cause if that's the case, then it's even more commendable that you understand any tagalog at all. ^^
  3. $20? Yeah, ginto na talaga pag sa peso mo inisip. I have 3 Paramore shirts, one was at 18$ and the others at 20$, wala pang tax yun ah. Haha. But if you live here, you should never ever convert what you buy to peso, kundi manghihinayang ka talaga sa mahal. Kuya? Oi hindi ako matanda ha. Haha. 20$ 'ata yun eh, pero online ko pa lang nakikita 'yun eh. May tax at S&H pa yun. Mahirap yun mga ganun, mamahalan talaga kayo. Madaling bilhin para sakin yun mga nasa Hot Topic, kasi madaming ganun sa mga mall dito sa area namin eh. Just go to hottopic.com. At namputsa, nagkaroon ako bigla ng mga kapatid ah, haha. Hoy 22 lang ako! ^^ How about CDs? I know some of you are getting Riot! from Brent, but how about AWKIF? Or the other versions of Riot! I've seen 4 so far, that is easy to buy from where I live. Or maybe some of you would want the AP issue with Hayley on it, or the Substream issue with the whole band. Just tell me. And maybe you can help me with some of these things I'm looking for: Vans Willy Santos 3 sz. 9- 9 1/2, orange/gray colorway Pillbox (Eheads pub) Fruitcake (the story book), 'cause mine's all tattered and basically any Eheads related memorabilia.
  4. Haha sure ano ba? Walang prublema, basta sakto sa palitan ang bigay. Iuuwi ko naman resibo syempre. ^^
  5. ^^Well, maybe because you've been here in Cali for a long time already and you haven't been speaking it regularly. Anyway for y'all in the Philippines, I'm going home mid to late September, anyone want something? But unlike Brent, you've gotta pay me! Haha, I'll just buy the stuff for you, anything, doesn't have to be Paramore-related, just as long as you'll pay me. ^__^
  6. So, most of y'all are still in school? Astig. HS was the best experience of my life, hands down. College wasn't so bad, but it kinda sucked at the beginning for me. Pucha ako 'yata pinakamatanda dito ah! Have you guys heard of Paraluman? They play Paramore covers regularly, wala lang.
  7. I think there comes a point when artists (real ones) realize that they've exhausted all means from that form, or they no longer hold direction over what they're doing (Buendia). And maybe Rico sees that. After all, what comes up must come down, and maybe he sees that its better to leave 'Maya while it's on top rather than go down with it since 'Maya is probably on the backend of their career (give or take 3-4 years?) with the current influx of made for radio/tv bands. Ayos Kapatid! But I still prefer grooving to the Fishcake days of P.O.T. Ayos diskusyon natin dito ah! For everyone, just how old are most you anyway?
  8. ^^To a certain extent I get and I DON'T get that argument. First, you do songs on the album because you belive in its own merits ('cause otherwise it wouldn't have made the cut in the first place), which means everything should be single- ready. It doesn't matter if its a pop tune, a power ballad, an acoustic ditty or whatever. So it really shouldn't matter if its catchy or not. But on the other hand, I get that hardliners for the band would sometimes rather not want the catchiest song to be the single, because it gives off an instant attraction with casual listeners, hence the bandwagoners. I've never really liked MCR so don't mind me, hehe.
  9. ^^Oh yeah, good call there. My eyesight must be failing me. haha.
  10. ^Haha, who's telling the truth? LOL. I'm just gonna check it out later either way. Thanks!
  11. Is this out now?? I have to get this! Is this out on the stands now??
  12. Yeah, sure Bamboo has a better voice, no question. But still there was something with Rico when he does the songs. Isipin mo ha, yun Faithless album -- kaya bang dalhin ni Bamboo 'yun? Or on a more known level, Tuloy ang Ligaya is just so Rico. I guess what I'm saying is that Rivermaya (including the Bamboo era) is just overflowing with Blanco's stamp on it, and it was better IMO when he fronted it. Nevermind that the BTSAW release was a lil craptastic, ayos pa rin naman. Oo, Mayonnaise! Monty idol! Razorback is just okay nowadays, but then again it's hard to top their Giyang days.
  13. ^^It was kinda too reminiscent of recent posthardcore acts, don't you think? Like how TBS does it with its 2man vocals, or how The Used always use the bridge to build up to a screamfest ending. Err, something like that.
  14. ^^I think the mainstage acts always have their own tents. At least that's what I remember from the 01 Warped.
  15. ^^And while you're there check out the local scene as well. Just don't be fooled when someone tells you Cueshe is the shit. Haha. But seriously, there are alot of good bands and artists you can check out. For starters (and for easy access), check out Sugarfree, Cambio, Sandwich. And if you're really a lil more adventurous (gigs of this bands are probably more comparable to your posthardcore gigs here in the West), check out Typeccast, Chicosci, Greyhoundz, Queso. And for something a lil more soothing and intelligent, go for the regular Terno nights on Saguijo, or check out 70's Bistro on Anonas Ave where feelgood acts like The Dawn, Bridge, Johnoy and Kakoi, The Jerks perform on the regular. Hope you enjoy your stay, man.
  16. I play the guitar, and do backup vocals for my band back home. I used to do session- drumming for some of my friends' bands. And in the early 00's when rapmetal/numetal was big, I scratched (DJ'ed!) for my first band!
  17. Yeah, I totally agree with the 'Maya - 'Heads parrallelism. But to a certain extent the Rico fronted 'Maya was better than the Bamboo era. Because if you think about it Rico Blanco is Rivermaya, just like Ely Buendia was the Eraserheads. He writes most of the lyrics, composes most of the music, and produces a large bulk of their releases (BTSAW is the only release in recent memory where the other members cowrote a substantial amount). So, if I'm part of Rivermaya's management I'd go on and move on rather than live behind the shadow of Blanco's departure, because I'm thinking of the same scenario in which the 'Heads put Kris Dancel in. It'll work for a while, jsut because of the novelty of it, but in the long run it won't, just why do you think we have Cambio now?
  18. Oi mga flip, ayos! Musta? ^^ I'm only 22 years old, but I'm an oldtymer when it comes to the Philippine scene. I've been around as early as the mid90s, 'cause of my dad. That explains my love for the 90's alternative band explosion (and those still standing today!) and my aversion to most of the nu- skool (most of them anyway). I'm here in the US for I-don't-know-what. Haha. I just finished college, and I'm hanging around working a little here. I'm going back home around September.. I think. )
  19. ^^From what show are the pictures from your sig taken? I don't I have ever seen Hayley wiht that striped shirt.
  20. ^^Oh wow, cool! Thanks for the info. I guess I'm lucky then, yay! I'm probably going to get one more CD -- either the FYE or just the CDw/ no bonuses. And yeah, the vinyl! I'm going broke for Paramore!
  21. ^I'll order if they won't be realeased here, but probably not this week. I'll wait for my next paycheck before I get one, 'cause I'm still kinda reeling from having to spend 30$ on 2 CDs and a shirt
