  1. aw man that is awesome. conan is great. and apparently hayley's a fan, right? i bet the band is so excited about this.
  2. okay so uhhh i'm definitely not ticked off anymore. i just got tickets like 5 minutes ago. and i'm really excited, even if i don't get meet and greet. the show will be awesome.
  3. i dunno why this hasn't been moved to the live shows section yet, but anyway... at the other few shows i've been to at the EF, they keep buses and trailers in the parking lot behind the venue, and you can park back there, too (seeing as it's a parking lot, duh). i met Panic at the Disco there WAYY back in '05 (hahah) and could have met Jeff and Sergio from The Early November as well last year, but i'm weird and shy. so if you wait outside, basically just wait back in that parking lot or just outside of it on the side street. i've had good experiences at the EF.
  4. this has me so ticked off. i'm preeeetty sure that a large part of the fanbase is people who are in school at this point in time. i didn't get home until after 3:00 because i stayed for a club meeting, and when i saw the email (after my friend called me and told me about the whole deal), the time on it said 2:05 PM today. why does it have to be all out of the blue so as for people to have no clue in advance? also, i have to wait for my friend to buy the tickets. i'm perfectly fine with that aspect because she's my friend, i know why, whatever. but DANG WHY IS IT SO LATE? who plans/manages this stuff?! GAAAAHHHH. today was such a good day until i found this out. and if you really just read all that, well sorry for wasting some of your time because i essentially just ranted on a non-rant page. nonetheless, it was related to the topic. i guess i can be glad that it's general admission.
  5. Paper Rival (formerly Keating, heheh) EP i guess really i should just say Paper Rival. i saw them last Wednesday supporting Ace Enders, and they're even better live than recorded. their singer has a great voice. Ace Enders Communication through LETTERS! i'm talking SNAIL MAIL, people. it's so much better than internet, phone, and anything else that isn't snail mail. i wrote a letter to my friend in Vermont, and then she sent one to me and i am putting my response in the mail tomorrow, definitely. seriously, i want to start a snail mail revolution.
  6. i definitely hope they come to philly early in the tour!!!! it would be nice to get one of the first shows. although with TSL being on it, i'd expect them to want philly to be towards the end. yaknow, like a nice warm "welcome home." but who knows? i just want the dates to be announced.
  7. aaaaa! i haven't been on the boards in like a week, and i had looked in the comments on the latest news thing (regarding the contest), and saw the link someone posted in one of the comments. and so i figured there MUST be something on the boards about it. all i can really say is... whoa. it's actually not terrible. i mean, it's a huge change, but it actually kinda kicks butt. it does look more "punk", hahah. but it doesn't look bad on him, tbh. his face looks younger somehow. . . although maybe he also has found the fountain of youth. or MAYBE... the haircut IS the fountain of youth!
  8. so i did a search and didn't find any threads for him... i'm sure there was one about The Early November, but this concerns his solo career, which i think will be amazing. i saw him last night (the 15th) at the Balcony Bar at the Trocadero, and it was the most amazing experience. it was very relaxed, people requesting songs, one kid taking polaroids, and later getting on stage because he lied about knowing all the words to the story part of "1000 times a day". it was quite hilarious, and Ace is just an awesome dude all around. he just stood around afterwards so my friend and i each got a picture with him, and i asked him possibly one of the dorkiest questions ever, but he was so cool about it. amazing musician and person. okay so this is where everyone else chimes in about how great Ace Enders is. P.S.: just for an added sense of awesome-ness. . . before this picture, Ace said "thumbs up for Latin!" true story.
  9. "You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?" courtesy of Joe Dirt, one of the best movies ever made the inflection makes it even better, especially the way he says "with or without the scooter stick"
  10. seriously, some girls in line for the ferry from philly to camden offered to pay the guys behind me in line to make sure they would get on the ferry (which is huge, i hope they didn't actually give those dudes money.. it was pretty safe to say that they were gonna get on that ride just fine) so they could get there in time for Circa. we got there like 5-10 minutes before they started... and they were seriously great. Anthony's freakin nuts and my brother felt the need to state it, too. hahah.
  11. aa i'm watching the pressure acoustic right now and first i was just like HAHHAA HOLY CRAP, 'cause jeremy looks like a genuine hickabilly, i just found it too hilarious. and zac looks funny, too. and then Hayley started singing. holy crap is she awesome. hahah hayley pet the raccoon. and i can't stop cracking up at jeremy in his hat.
  12. hahahah wow. he really does go nuts with the headbanging/throwing. he literally was just like, whipping it around. can't be good for the neck. for me, that would probably require like, weekly chiropractor visits, hahah. but then i think, maybe because his hair is relatively short, he feels the need to make up for the lack of hair movement with more violent headbanging.
  13. i would hate if it was at the tweeter, and i doubt it would be there anyway. but yeah i'm in agreement that it would probably be at EF. which i wouldn't have much of a problem with. i haven't had any bad experiences there yet. except when i saw the Nintendo Fusion Tour there in '05 i felt like i had to puke during FOB's intermission. but then again that was the first concert i had been to in like 2 years at the time. every other time, the EF has given me good memories. so i wouldn't mind it there. although TLA would be nice, but i can't imagine TSL playing there, or even Paramore again. they've gotten a bit bigger.
  14. yeah i'm betting on that. the perks of being in the fan club, hahah. it just sucks that i missed a bit of underoath in addition to that just to catch the dang ferry! arrrgh. but whatever, it was an exhilarating and exhausting day.
  15. ahh dang. i wonder why it was cancelled. but HEY, now i don't have to feel guilt...ahahha. is that pic from after the show? LUCKYYY. i'm so weird about saying hi to people in bands. it's like, i realize they're just normal people, but then i even overthink that and tell myself they need their time to themselves and i shouldn't bother them. hahahah i'm so WEIRD, right?! but i like that picture, the shirt AND the headband. nice. i'm so sad that that day is done. like right after i finished eating when i got home (food was way too expensive there... around 40 bucks on water alone), i was thinking I WANNA GO BACK TO THIS MORNING! it was such an awesome day, without anything really amazing happening. the sets i watched were just so great (despite a couple that i didn't quite care for), and AAAAA! i'm gonna miss it so bad. i have to keep reminding myself that i'll probably end up going again next year, PLUS i'm seeing Ace Enders later this month, and i need to get pumped about that. PLUS i'm totally seeing Paramore when they tour with TSL in the fall, and that will be amazing.
  16. aaaa i'm back! i got home like 10-15 minutes ago, had to catch the ferry so i left just a few songs into Underoath's set. paramore part: saw their set. it was amazing. i didn't manage to go around to any of the merch tents, my brother was a little constricting. hahah. he wanted to just go to the stages we had to get to, and sit inside when we got a bit of time. really all i have to say about their set is it was one of the best of the day (although, tbh, i'd say Alkaline Trio and NFG were by far THE best.. amazing bands). and all of them looked so happy during the set, it was lovely. and Taylor was going nuts. the funny thing is my brother was like "what was with that one, guitarist to the far right? he didn't really seem like he was in the band... he was almost like an outcast." i was slightly offended, as i think taylor is awesome. hahah so i explained that he's a fill-in for tour, blahblah, and yeah. but Taylor was just like... going crazy, it looked like he was loving it which was awesome. Hayley was perfect as always, Zac did all his craziness with the drums, jeremy was goin nuts, josh was doin his chill thing. it was just great. btw, i was a bit far back during the whole thing. the closest i got during the whole day was not all that close for Alkaline Trio. more paramore part: so when my brother and i were leaving i saw someone with familiar-looking hair (how weird of a distinguishing characteristic is that?) riding on a bike outside. and i was like AAA IT'S JEREMY (in my head) and i kinda like smiled and i wanted to just go, "HEY JEREMY!" but i made myself not do so because i think i'm weird/socially awkward, hahahh. but next thing i know, he passes us by a few feet and i'm like HOLY CRAP JOSH IS RIGHT THERE, TOO! and then i told my brother and he says "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY HI." my brother seemed pretty excited about it, which surprised the heck out of me. but yeah, that's really all i have to say. amazing show. i didn't say hi because i'm a weirdo. it may sound pretty boring but the day was awesome. i'm pretty sure i have to go back next year, hopefully unrestrained, so i can rock out at the front. ahhah. although i suppose it depends on who plays, too. EDIT: P.S.: was there a signing? because like i said, i didn't even manage to get around to the merch tents (they had TOO MANY good bands playing, haha), and therefore didn't get to check about whether or not there was one or when it would be. i hope my friend won't be disappointed about that, 'cause i was supposed to get her AP mag signed for her. EEK
  17. i guess everyone left already and my brother sucks. i'm still at home! wtf.
  18. Driving Lessons (movie) and, consequently, Rupert Grint and still Circa Survive.
  19. mehh has anyone left yet for this show? i'm still at home... waiting for my broha. we're taking the train and then the ferry over to camden. i'm a bit anxious. i could barely sleep last night. true story.
  20. i was a little shocked at that, too. i was like, dang, he's not bad. but i was too busy cracking up to realize it the first time i watched. and i love that he says, "i love the dudes, they're super sweethearts." but the best thing he sang was "frickin' love these pringles." he seems like such a funny dude.
  21. wow i come back after like a week of not coming on the boards and look at this! i swear i was up late one night just absolutely RAIDING youtube for videos of them and saw all of those... there are a couple from fuse of them playing acoustic, and anthony just... his facial expressions kill me. i think it's at the end of a video of Miracle Son (it's either Son or Sun, i've seen it each way... CONFUSED) on fuse where he just stops. and his face is just like a weird blank expression. anyway, i've been listening to basically only Circa Survive for the past few weeks. although i will admit i've listened to some Early November and Ace Enders (whose new songs are great, btw). but yeah, i'm CS obsessed.
  22. Ongoing: Circa Survive new (as of this past weekend): Clark and Michael (http://www.clarkandmichael.com) seriously, it's hilarious. a little crude at times, a bit of foul language, but hilarious nonetheless. and it's almost over already, dang it! aaannd... Ace Enders! i'm seeing him on August 15th and i'm very very excited and happy about that.
  23. i have 7! i hardly ever realize it, but there really are that many. 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 turtles (although they're technically my brother's. but he's at home now so it counts). they're pretty much all awesome.
  24. i watched these videos last night; they are preeetty funny. and Taylor seems hilarious, i wanna meet that dude. the one of him in the high heels.. wow. and i swear when he was staring into the camera and then finally laughed, that was the first time i saw him smiling in any pictures/videos that i've seen.
  25. HAHAHAHHAH JESUS HAIR. OH MY GOSH. wooooww. that just made me think of the Butcher from TAI. because one time i saw a pic of him and i just thought he looked like Jesus. typing that out made me feel like a blasphemer or something. i'm weird. but anyway. yeah that straight long hair on kenny was... wow.. different? P.S.: have i ever mentioned how i LOVE the fact that Kenny has inadvertently/probably accidentally rep'd (i wasn't sure how to type that, but i like how it looks that way) my hometown????? he owns a Havertown Soccer shirt, which i think is awesome. i own like 10 million of those things, i've played since i was 7 or something like that.
