In an Avril Lavigne song she stated "Grew up in a 5000 population town." People said wow that´s so tiny. Well here is where I live at times, my family all grew up here (or at least the spanish side). Population? Oooh let´s say around..200? That´s two-hundred yes lol. La Magdalena: The bridge that joins La Magdalena and Canales. The local school in the background, kids come from tons of other villages to this one to be able to go to school. Most villages around here have between 5-30 people. Motorbike thing: Otero de las Dueñas which apparently I´m from because the local council eats up most of La Magdalena, unfortunately I´m on the wrong side of the council lines lol. My id states I live in this village, no wonder I dont receive any letters... And finally, if you go north about 10/15mins or north-west, these are the types of mountains you´ll find, you can see them from miles away. Our valley is surrounded by them, we´re 1000metres up. Not much snow these days though León: Main town, almost 2 hours away from any other main town yay (or not). Not big either, I tend to live here more so than not with my bf, 30km´s away from La Magdalena. Tons of history, nice small town, shit stuck up people and morons. Cathedral: The Parador - Parador de San Marcos (royal family like staying here): Main shopping street: Boring huh? Lol. El Barrio Humedo: Party area, old quarters but PARTY AREA lol. Hidden away in these streets are tons of clubs and bars that are actually super popular and the area itself is well known amongst Spanish sudents. Town square: Good for drinkin too, great bars/clubs. Also in el Barrio Humedo. There´s tons more as every step you take there´s either a historical landmark or a modern structure. I always advise people to visit the north of Spain just because it´s beautiful! Sometimes it´s like stepping into a fairytale, especially up here and in Asturias which is our next door neighbour province. Anyway sorry for such a long post. ps. You know, I find that too... Right after a cigarette my voice is totally clear which is WRONG! Haha. Im aware of what smoking does and how it affects breathing, my breathing, I can go days without smoking however and I know if I moved to England Id just give up but here it feels like EVERYONE smokes so I see someone smoking and subconciously (sp) pick up a cigarette and smoke it. In London it repulses me unless Im drunk hah.

I used to work in a theatre and he did a show there years ago and I dont know why but he repulsed me LOL. Off stage he wasnt very nice either but again this was about 6 years ago. The audience loved him though.

I just found out yday that Brad Renfro died too on Jan 15th. Such a sad month..

I just read this AFTER putting my 2 cents in in the Heath thread. Aside from what you said I think people in general need to be aware of the issues that come from depression, drugs and all that mixed in one. People around me here say its all in my head and not a real problem and really dont understand so anyway my rant was to you but in general. I hope you have a better day today..

This has made me so sad, he was my favourite actor since I was about 15 and just thought wow and now argh. Some comments on this thread however have made me angry. To put my 2cents in, having battled sleeping problems and emotional problems for nearly 10years I know what its like not to be able to sleep or go on and I know also what its like when you go to sleep at 7am every morning because before is just not possible and you will do anything to sleep, pop 1 pill, it doesnt work, 2, 3.. Plus lack of sleep makes you go off on some high where really nothing makes sense and you do stupid things. I say all this because in an interview he mentioned sleeping problems. He was also on 3 different meds which can be a danger. I dont know what happened to Heath, what went through his head or why, maybe he commited suicide or maybe it was acidental but theres no reason to be so harsh towards his death or be pointing fingers when no one knows what really went on. Rest in peace Heath..

My voice is pure and soft so smoking just makes it weak and eurgh but yeah some people sound hot! I still dont think it´s a good idea however.

The diaphragm should be used as a vocal and breathing support. As you go higher and know how to use your diaphragm you´ll notice it working super hard. Also as for the tea thing or things to lubricate your chords, I think these are only meant to be used in an extreme emergency, not all the time because if your voice is tired or not working properly and you use a medicine or drink tea (which changes up your chords too fast due to quick change in temperature) you´ll still end up pushing your voice just you dont notice it because it´s under the effects of a product. Am I just like the singing anti singer here? I smoke lol. My old singing teacher was an opera singer in the 60´s/70´s and was a huuuge smoker too, she´s now quit but she said she´d manage to tour and not have voice problems but...I guess it depends on the voice because I know my voice cant handle too many cigarettes and singing, especially not opera!! She was lucky I suppose.

Im a grown up and I still dont know what I want to do haha. Im trained in musical theatre but living in a small town that doesnt even know what Broadway or the West End is I get to look for crap jobs. Id love to figure out a "real" career choice but naaaaah

Placing as in notin my throat but say for high classical notes in my ¨head¨ and opening my throat perfectly along with my mouth in the correct position. For chest voice I have no problems placing lol, thats the easy part. I had some throat things too but they tasted nasty lol so right now I stick to the honey and tea mmm.
