kwik-silva
Thats cool Its just not gonna happen this time around, next time! (hopefully) It just sucks cos I miss so many good bands due to age restrictions..
hubabalou
Are a lot of places in Europe 18 plus?

hubabalou
Oh.... So Matt is just making excuses now?
Ross
He's just unfortunate really. But 18+ or even 16+ gigs are pretty rare. A lot of smaller bands will be playing in smaller venues, like bars etc so there's an age limit on them if the band has no obvious strong teenage fanbase. In my experience, the only time there's an age limit up here is when we have the aftershow parties, which rock.
kwik-silva
In the last week, 2 of my favourite bands have announced gigs either within an hour away and both have been 16+ or 18+ So I'm going to Guinness Premiership Final instead! Ross
Were they part of an extended tour? Or were these dates annouced as part of touring around a festival appearance (MO) or for album/single promotion?
kwik-silva
umm.. well MO was festival appearance. People in Planes was just a tour.. I think to promote an album.. But I'm not 100% sure.. I think it might be a re-release or something But they're supposed to be playing Islington which didn't have an age-restriction on, except they're not in the listings.. kwik-silva
Its a 2 hour train journey/drive though, it'll depend whether I can get my dad into them, he likes Brand New, so now I'm going for MO

the1
No excuses. Get your arse down here. Even if your dad don't wanna come, surely he can take you to the station, and I got no problem walking you there and back (I'm 18- a responsible adult. I live pretty much in Brum so I know the place).
