Jorgi
GCSE music is brutal, but if you can get through the performance you're through the worst of it. Brutal is an understatement, and composition is the worst of it in my opinion. Haha, man why did i take this subject. Oh well, I shall persevere ! I agree with this. For your other composition (although you don't have to think about this for a while) i suggest using experimental, as long as you tick off all the right boxes, you can't go wrong as there aren't any harmonies/melodies you need to get right, just rhythms. Good stuff ! also, you have the same birthday as my friend, minus a year oh, you learn something new everyday
my.heart.
haha, cool, cheers =] and 'songs from musicals'? whats that? lol haha and im in year 10 :] only barely 14 ^^ lol june 12th this year, you'll study 4 different units (and do practise compositions this year, no final ones): repetition and contrast in western classical music 1600 - 1899 - ground Bass - variations - rondo - ternary form new directions in western classical music 1900 - present - serialism - minimalism - experimental music - electronic music popular song in context - 12 bar blues - reggae - club dance remix - songs from musicals and britpop rhythms, scales and modes in music from around the world - gamelan music - indian raga - african drumming - music which draws together two or more cultures e.g. bhangra or folk rock in year 11, you will compose two pieces for final submission. you will also perform one solo piece, and one piece in an ensemble. your solo piece must be from the same area of study as one of your compositions! e.g. if one composition is a rondo (area of study 1) and one is a song from a musical (area of study 3) then you can perform a musical song. just remember to compose one song from area of study 3, as this is the easiest to perform from when it comes to singing. oh and what's your msn sn? just so i know who to add

Annmarie
When I was in year 7 I was "I'm soo taking music as a GCSE" But then by year 9 I just couldn't wait to get rid of it like drama and history, and I still don't regret it. My food tech teacher was trying to bribe me into taking food tech on the options evening last year. Didn't work though, because I picked textiles. Happy_Misery
When I was in middle school they used to do cross country in the WINTER. so id say I had diseased knees so i didnt have to run in the cold/wind/rain... but then they put me as the human POST for everyone else to run around. Annmarie
I loved cross country in primary school. I hate gym, reason why I like next term because it's team games, most of the dudes hate that I play hockey because i'm lethal with the stick >:]
Lahninja
HAHA oh god, dont get me started with hockey. when i was in year 7, we were playing hockey on the courts, and i was aweful at it, and this girl was standing behind me.. and you can guess what happened to her. xD yupp, i hit her round the head with the stick
Annmarie
LOL I'm scared of the hockey puck coming towards me, but once I have it, I couldn't give two hoots where I go with it sometimess I just hit it across the court and theres always one guy who comes after me, but if I hit it he has to jump to avoid it going into his feet. and he normally yelps. The first time he did that I cried laughing, the trainee told me to get off the court to control myself. lol wow i'm evil.
