THE EARLY NOVEMBER CONFIRM TRIPLE CD'S TRACKLISTING, RELEASE DATE

Posted by Scott Heisel on 10-Apr-06 @ 04:23 PM

Drive-Thru Records artists the Early November have confirmed the release date and tracklisting for their highly anticipated triple album, The Mechanic, The Mother, And The Path. The disc, recorded last year by Chris Badami (Midtown, the Starting Line), will be released July 11. The album is a concept album of sorts, as the label explains:

"The story arc involves a young man who clashes with his over bearing father. The teenage character leaves his family with the girl he loves, setting out to forge a new path, one that avoids the trappings that ensnared his conventional parents. Upon having his own child, he swears he won't make the same mistakes his father did. The cycle of life brings him full circle as his own son begins to rebel against him, and he finds himself slowly becoming like his father, a fate he tried so hard to escape."

I don't know what to think about this...it'll either be brilliant or it'll be 10 good songs surrounded by a ton of filler...I'm generally wary of concept albums and triple album just screams indulgence...but I don't know...something makes me think TEN could pull it off...

And people in love with 12 year old scene girls.

Sort of reminds me of the club I was in last night. Except it wasn't 12 year old scene girls that the creepy dudes were interested in. Seeing as it's not a scene club nor are 12 year olds anywhere near old enough for admittance. Such a shitty club. Not because it doesn't admit 12 year old scene girls but because it plays really shitty music and the drinks aren't cheaper than the club like twenty seconds away that does play good music.

Pretty much dug myself into a huuuuge hole there so I'm going to quit whilst I still might be ahead and leave with a relevant statement: I Want To Hear You Sad is absolutely phenomenal.
