  1. You know, I actually REALLY agree with you on this. I've realized that there are actually only a few Paramore songs that I actually get a feeling/"connection" with. I think so far a lot of it has been the sound and the energy, and I'd definitely love to see more depth in the lyrics in the future. Also, half of the reason I wanted to respond to this was the fact that you quoted Circa Survive lyrics. I think all of their lyrics are great, but On Letting Go was amazing. And I definitely understand the idea of certain phrases that, in context, convey a specific message, but can still be applied to a lot of different situations. While I don't write lyrics, when I do write, that's what I really like to go for, because I love analyzing that kind of stuff. Basically, I completely agree with you.
  2. currently watching The Pest (w/ John Leguizamo). It's pretty ridiculous, but funny.
  3. i could've sworn i made a thread for Ace before, or maybe i'm mistaken. but he is AMAZING. I saw him last summer in Philly for his first solo show, and it was amazing. I met him afterwards, and he's just a sweet guy. I saw him again in December at The Starting Line's holiday show at the TLA. he did a cover of bittersweet symphony (with help from Jack Antonoff of Steel Train - who you guys should also check out if you haven't yet. i KNOW i made a thread for them) and it was spectacular. Anyway, he's basically amazing. Has anyone downloaded the Secret Wars? The songs keep getting stuck in my head. Oh, and @ Hiroki: It really is a shame. I was upset I didn't get to see him last Saturday when he was in town with CIWWAF, but I just REALLY didn't want to spend money on a show where I would only like one band that was playing, esp. with CIWWAF headlining.
  4. Wizard People, Dear Reader. Brad Neely is genius.
  5. Deathnotronic - Reggie and the Full Effect (still). Had to post because this song is awesome.
  6. Another Runaway Song - Reggie and the Full Effect. I did not know I still had any of their stuff on my computer, and I'm so glad I found it again!
  7. I don't know if this video will ever get old. Zac is way too funny. And the video's good evidence that Josh is not just sad, which people had been talking about relatively recently. I swear there have been multiple requests recently on the lj community and on here for pictures where Josh is happy/smiling. I think this video should please people, hahah. Zac's kissing tips portion was just too funny. And the faces he makes... goodness, what a character.
  8. hahaha your guys' squealing over his "arms" by which you most definitely mean muscles just made me think of this one line from some workout infomercial i saw years ago... "biceps, triceps, and even abs" if you could hear it how i hear it . . . hahah. they are some lovely pictures though, and kailey, i love your repetition of "TAN AND GLORIOUS." hilarious.
  9. jon and kate plus 8 PLUS the (non domesticated) bird outside that imitates car alarms. it's pretty hilarious.
  10. They are pretty spectacular. and here come a couple more printscreens, hahah. better views: RIGHT SIDE DOUBLE WIDE (i just like that phrase, all i mean is you can see both "screens") +A better view of Josh on the right screen
  11. So in that newest LJ post about the piercings, Hayley mentioned that they "easily have the ugliest scrims (stage props/artwork) to ever be witnessed on any stage ever." well, thanks to a buzznet user, you can see part of one of these scrims in the background of a couple of pictures. Link: http://blackparadegirl-summefffest08.buzznet.com/user/photos/paramore/?id=39176941#usersubnav i'll see if i can printscreen and post them quickly. *Printscreen central* Hayley like a "freakin shark": Josh looking creepy wider shot
  12. I've been extremely fortunate. I've seen them 5 times so far if I'm counting correctly, and I get to see them again in August. Aug. '06 (First headlining tour) April '07 Warped '07 Nov. '07 May '08 - My dad is awesome. He drove my friend and I to the Atlantic City show since there was no Philly date on the tour with JEW. And he was at the concert as well. I think the only times he wasn't there were the '06 show and Warped '07. He is going to the Aug. 15th show with my friend and I as well unless somehow the plan changes. It's kinda funny, but he always keeps his distance, and tends to enjoy the concerts.
  13. i confess that i smell bad. and i confess that i'm not taking a shower until i wake up in the morning.
  14. -cooked and ate my breakfast -helped my dad with a job -worked out
  15. Dance in My Blood - Men Women & Children, freakin awesome
  16. Ever So Sweet - The Early November so good.
  17. Yea the chorus of little kids is pretty annoying, but I think the imitation singers might be even more annoying. I don't want to hear someone with a weird voice trying to sound like Hayley.
  18. Painless (AKA: the most addictive song ever) - Mae i can't stop listening to it.
  19. You have no idea how much I despise Kidz Bop. I've never had to bear it for more than like the two-minute TV-aired offers, but even that much I cannot deal with. And 10 year olds . . . *shudder*. Actually if I just think of 10 year olds, it doesn't seem terrible, but in context, "oh crap" is absolutely correct.
  20. I'm not that fond of them either. I saw them in April at The Starting Line's "last" show in Philly, and I wasn't all that impressed.
  21. I ought to be working out, because I didn't get to this morning. whoops! I'll be off to do that in a few minutes. And I just realized that I can watch Jon & Kate Plus 8 while I'm on the treadmill. AWESOME!
  22. Ace Enders again (The Secret Wars) p.s.: http://www.fuse.tv/music/the-worm/ DO IT
  23. Rain - Ace Enders this man is freaking brilliant/amazing. i wish i was willing to pay for a ticket for the CIWWAF show next week just to see Ace. alas, though i have the money, i'm cheap.
  24. dethklok on metalocalypse. this show is pretty hilarious.
