  1. Aw, I was there. My friend and I saw them on the street when we were parking - we pretty much just honked and waved. Right after that we saw them in Friday's when we were going to the bathroom. We walked right by their table, but they were settled with their menu's and stuff and we thought it would have been really rude to interrupt their dinner. In retrospect I don't think they would have minded so much. Ah well, the show was really good and worth the 2 hour flight, and the four hour bus ride to get there. I have some pretty good pictures from the other side of the stage that I'll post when they're resized and such.
  2. Flying 2 hours to Toronto and then taking a greyhound to Buffalo since it's literally a thousand dollars cheaper to fly in to Toronto and take a bus, than flying directly in to Buffalo.
  3. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm flying down to Toronto. If my school money comes in soon. Maybe there'll be seat sales or something. Goshh.
  4. Aw, Rob is seriously one of my favourite people ever.
  5. I have been staring at my pictures almost constantly since Saturday and I didn't even notice that. Haha.
  6. You waited in line that long!? I guess I'm not much better. We made sure to leave Oakville (because that's where we stayed after Buffalo) at around 8:30 so we could get there before doors actually opened. Security is always either a mess or a power trip at Park Place. One year Lyman had to push everything back a half hour so there would be more kids in the park. I got to see Yellowcard play for an extra half hour. =] I pretty much saw everyone I REALLY wanted to see at Warped the day before in Buffalo, so I wasn't too miffed about missing anyone, except for The Johnstones, but even then I've seen em what feels like a million times before. I thought the pit was kind of tame in Barrie, compared to the day before, at least. Things are SO different for Paramore between Canada and America, it's nuts. Sand and pits are gross, though. I came out of New Found Glory spitting mud, no exaggeration.
  7. Aw man. I hope you're okay! I was in that exact spot for ciwwaf, too. I got into the park just before The Starting Line started with the best of me. The day before in Buffalo was pretty brutal so I was determined to be on the barricade for Paramore in Barrie. It was a pretty sweet set, though.
  8. Did anyone else get there early enough to catch them? I know if you got there when doors were supposed to be you probably still had to wait for hours because security in Barrie just sucks and the line is slowww. It's always like that though, so I was prepared and got there at 10. Anyway, they played at 2, which I was pretty pleased about because it seems like the later they play, the more crazy the crowd is. I managed to get a barricade spot by watching The Starting Line and Cute Is What We Aim For who were playing before Paramore. I really thought I was going to get really squished so I stayed more at the side, but I didn't, surprisingly. I think only about four crowd surfers went over me, too. Here's a couple pictures. They're all unedited. Facebook just resized them when I uploaded them there.
  9. that was pretty much the best warped tour update i've ever read. nice pics of the merch and stuff. i'm at a loss as to whether or not i should buy merch in buffalo or in barrie, because i'm going to both but it's the american vs canadian thing. idk if bands still jack up their prices when they come into canada.
  10. I... somehow made it to Barrie and Montreal last year. This year I'm doing Buffalo and Barrie though, because Buffalo is so much closer to Barrie than Montreal. The line is so much more efficient in Montreal than in Barrie, but the venue itself is better, I think. It's so much bigger.
  11. OH MAN. I WAS AT THAT SET. <3 Skanking. DID YOU SIT DOWN AND JUMP UP WHEN THEY SAID TO? I love that part of the Smashers set. =] I love them a fair bit too. Haha. Oh man, Leah. She irritates me when she's on tv but when I met her at an Alexis show in December she seemed really nice about taking a picture of me and Dal.
  12. i would go to bluesfest too.. aren't alexisonfire AND city and colour playing? haha, i'm a big aof fan. i'm traveling like 12 hours to see the molson amp show they're playing with billy talent next week. AND I WANTED TO SAY. I actually saw Misery Business on Much Music the other day in the afternoon. I was straightening my hair and it came on and I was rocking out before I realized it was coming from the TV so I missed the beginning but it was SO good to see it on a tv. And.. if you're going to warped in Montreal take a dust mask. It's literally on a big sand box. Park Place is pretty dusty these days too.
  13. I'm going in Barrie. Is it at Park Place or that friggin Burls Creek place?
  14. they'd go back to opening for bigger tours in order to gain more fans, which paramore obviously wants. but as for the who's headlining debate, i'm not sure that tsl has the bigger fan base that paramore needs to be exposed to in a live setting. it's like when New Found Glory opened for Fall Out Boy too. NFG has a pretty solid fanbase, much like Paramore, but they wanted the exposure to Fall Out Boys much bigger fanbase so they jumped on that tour, even if they can and have been on a lot of their own headlining tours. It's just something us, as Paramore fans, are going to have to deal with as our parababies get bigger and bigger. They're not always gonna be the headliner and as much as that sucks for us, sometimes it's better for them.
  15. well, you could do that. i'm a huge fan of the way american apparel puts their hoodies together, though. like the way the arms are sewn on from the neck to the under arm as opposed to some hoodies where its kind of like they sewed the arms onto a tshirt version or something. i also find that the material is nicer and i can never find plain hoodies. they've always got even the tiniest logo on them somewhere. =/
  16. american apparel hoodies and stencils are an amazing thing. if you take your time and do it carefully you can probably do that yourself. i've noticed that if you use acrylic paint, but slightly water it down it has the same (at the very least, very similar) effect as silk screening, and it doesn't crack or bleed in the washer. i mean, it would definitely be sweet if there was actually a hoody like that but if there isn't, why not try it yourself? i'm very very tempted to do so.
  17. Take your cameras and stuff anyway. Whether you're allowed a camera or not is generally not a venue decision, but a band decision that comes from the band, which ultimately could be coming from the record label itself. I was allowed my camera at New Found Glory and when I went to see Silverstein security was scary about it. Basically, it varies from band to band so definitely take the camera.
  18. THUNDER BAY!!! ahem, yeah. i'm flying down from thunder bay for mcr in a few days but it was too far away to make it for paramore too which sucks because i JUST moved back from toronto. haha. also you people worrying about the stage. it is high, yes, but its not really in a semi-circle or anything and there's a barricade. you'll get shuffled around a bit on the right side near the front for load out. it's ridiculously easy to get to the front though because its on the same side of the room as the door so you're not like running across the whole venue to get to the barricade or anything. i always just slip in at the side and i don't ever get to shows until the first band has gone on. either way the phoenix is a decent place to see a show.
  19. http://pictures.greatestjournal.com/userimg/6898546/1636007 it's pretty huge.
