  1. i am officially going to the pomona date. super excited... now i either have to find someone to go with me or deal with just going alone, which, surprisingly doesn't sound too horrible?
  2. ha. that made me laugh... but then i am half-asleep. you people have been posting here for so long, you all are so nice and deserving of it. i like the new ranking system. its neat to have more ranks out there now, and there were some pretty big gaps.
  3. haha. that was great. they're awesome.
  4. quick question, is the ap special offer worth the extra money?
  5. haha, nice. i'd order a deon, but i have thick arms and i'm not sure it would fit correctly... so for now i'm sticking with my t-shirts and the zip-up hoodie i ordered a couple of weeks ago.
  6. aww... i'm glad that there was a lot of twloha love last night. and that's awesome that you've gotten to talk with jamie a few times now. i completely wanted to talk to him at the anberlin show i went to, but i'm a coward and got scared which i'm sure was completely unnecessary.
  7. i love blue ice, but then it's the only skin i've really used for an extended period of time. plus blue is one of my favorite colors. :]
  8. comfortable sweatshorts and a random old t-shirt. i love pajamas on a saturday morning.
  9. i'll definitely use your link as well... i'm already planning on buying tickets
  10. i am sooooo jealous. lucky lucky lucky. ha, that's awesome though. i'm sure you had a good time? did you get a chance to talk to jamie and all them?
  11. if you can do that (or even that you can think of doing that)... you are amazing. i wish i could make my own clothes, but it's been determined that i cannot sew for my life. and to have a dress like that, you'd be the envy of pretty much everyone.
  12. she definitely has good taste in clothes. and i wouldn't mind having her wardrobe either, but like most everyone else, i'd never fit into her stuff.
  13. ^ that's ok, just come around every once in a while!
  14. twloha black tee of course, a white tank underneath, and light blueish-gray calf-length pants.
  15. i definitely have to agree. love the new gallery layout! <3
  16. i know this thread is pretty much dead, and i know that this is coming a little late, but if you haven't seen this yet, it's about wearing your shirts today. even if you can't, the story is really neat. and if you have pictures of yourself in the shirts or other merchandise i think it would be cool if you posted them here. so here's the message... Hi Guys. "I'm wearing this tonight." I remember my friend Jon saying those words. It was a year ago this Friday. We had just opened the first box of TWLOHA shirts. We were in south Florida for a Switchfoot show. Florida Atlantic University. Sold out show. 2500 people. Band Marino opening, on about eight hours notice. At the time, the shirts were a simple attempt to help a friend. I had ordered a few dozen. No plans of becoming a non-profit organization. It was simply an attempt to tell a story, to share something that felt important, and to invite people to help write the ending. I smiled as Switchfoot's Jon Foreman took the stage that night, proud to call him both a hero and a friend, and so proud of that new black shirt. Jon mentioned TWLOHA between songs that night. I remember him saying "You can check this out on the internet", and I remember thinking that no one would know where to find it. The next morning, I checked this MySpace and there were comments from people who had been to the show the night before. There were friend requests and messages, people saying that they had found hope in the story, people saying that this story, and these struggles, were theirs as well. Some said simply "I want to help". That was a year ago Friday. Amazing to think what has happened since, where the shirts have gone - USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, Ireland, Japan, Costa Rica, Singapore, Phillipines... Amazing to think of the conversations they've sparked. We've heard stories of lives changing, people literally choosing life in those conversations. We've heard stories of people taking first steps to recovery, people finding hope, people helping their friends, people dreaming again... I don't know the words to describe how much this last year means to me. It has been an amazing journey, so many great things happening, so many surprising doors opening, more every day it seems. I speak for our team in saying that we remain committed to the heart of the matter, to people finding hope and help and inspiration, to friends having honest conversations, the possibility of rescue. I want to invite you to wear your TWLOHA shirt this Friday, March 30th, as we celebrate one year. Wear your shirt to school or work or wherever you might go... Tell your story... Tell our story. Talk about hope. Here's a few other ideas if you're excited: 1. Take a photo and make it your MySpace pic. 2. Tell friends, post bulletins and blogs. 3. Add a TWLOHA banner to your page. 4. Send us your photos and comments. Take group photos. Do something awesome. Be creative. Tell us what happens. And how cool is this; we will be in Orlando on Friday, with the Anberlin tour, so it will be a homecoming of sorts, and a birthday party. Let's take a big group photo at the end of the night, shall we? We're looking forward to that one. Thank you beyond words for this last year. Your encouragement and support, your comments and stories, these things keep us going. Thank you to everyone who wears one of these shirts. I've said it before, but I really like this idea, this feeling that we're this surprising gang of hope, united in finding the same something, and smiling whenever people ask, "Is that a band?". Thank you. jamie PS: Today! and to start off the pics...
  17. so i just bought the dustin kensrue cd and it is sooo different than thrice. i like it, but don't buy it expecting something similar to thrice. check his myspace for an idea of what kind of sound the cd has. it's like listening to a completely different artist.
  18. yay for reviving the thrice thread, i would have never found it otherwise. personally i'm a bigger fan of vheissu but that's probably because i listen to it more often. has anyone bought dustin's solo album?
  19. hollister tank tops, hollister sweatshirt, and surprisingly not hollister, but lucky brand jeans. (can you guess where i work?)
  20. you're not alone is one of my favorite songs by them. i remember the first time i listened to the song it almost brought tears to my eyes because i was super depressed at the time. i need to start listening to them more often again.
  21. haha... united has been sending me credit card offers like crazy and i keep meaning to get around to filling them out and getting one, but i've been super lazy. one day it's going to happen and then maybe i'll get around to traveling some.
  22. i say we all just take a trip overseas to see them... if only it were that easy
  23. i really like the new pics. like someone said before, they look more mature. and the riot sign in the background of the first picture is awesome, it makes the picture even cooler.
  24. no, but it does remind me of some things hayley has said. it's actually part of the lyrics to a song by thrice. check them out if you haven't already, this is my favorite song on their latest album vheissu, for miles. the lyrics are very powerful through out the album.
