  1. Plain White T's are a band who I liked a lot more after seeing them live. I saw a few minutes of an Underoath set but that was all. I'm just a bigger Emery fan so I can't really offer an unbiased opinion!

    New Banners

I like! I put one on my myspace but when I used that code it didn't work. I had to change it by adding in the
  3. On Friday I only have one class from 9:00 am - 9:50 am. In a little bit, I'm going to go to the university center and eat! and then go and be a participant for a psychology study. You have to participate in a certain number of experiments as part of our grade for my class.

  5. I liked that 1997 song too, thanks for uploading that. I should look into them some more now
  6. I realize how much this thread has been out of the loop for ages BUT the new single "Never Again" is officially on radio as of today! You can hear it at her myspace! http://www.myspace.com/kellyclarkson
  7. Yesterday I read Ayn Rand's Anthem - I thought it was great. I didn't realize how short it was though - it's some edition that had the book in it twice! One including the authors revisions or something but it would be the same exact read .
  8. It's funny how I just a day or two ago realized The Spill Canvas have an EP coming out on May 1, which is clearly soon!, and they are now part of Sire records. I'm clearly not on top of things. A big regret I have (although clearly not a serious issue) is that the two times I've seen them play, I didn't bring a camera! Idiot!
  9. I'm also a Lydia lover! I've seen them play twice but they were such short sets - that doesn't take away from how good it was though, of course.
  10. This isn't my dog, it's actually my uh, well, my doctor's - I suppose that is a little strange haha! Anyways, this is Leche aka Milk Dud. She is a Chiweenie - part Chihuahua and part Dachsund. I love it.
  11. Woah, a Ferret!! That's awesome. As far as I know ferret's are still illegal to have in California, sadly.

    Brand New

I would go see this show in it’s entirety because all of the bands really interact with each other throughout their sets. It’s almost more of a production than three bands just all playing separately in one night - except no one should really listen to me completely because I can’t describe anything well, so maybe we could just go with that I thought it was really cool? Anywho, I just now tried to write down what I remembered them playing yesterday and from what I have, my setlist looks a little different than the one Brent posted a page back from Buffalo, NY. If that’s something people want posted let me know. I always like to see every band at a show, afterall, that is how I heard Brand New for the first time. They were the second opening band at the first concert I ever went to in 2001. I saw them three times after that but last night was the first time I’ve seen them play since I believe 2003. I’m glad I went. I wasn’t sure I was going to because that morning from 3:30 am - 7:30 am, I barfed 8 times - impressed? I was able to go to class though and then drive four hours home to go see the show. I leaned against the wall the whole time and the bass pounding in your chest and body doesn’t do wonders for an upset stomach but it wasn’t something I wanted to miss out on! So, I didn't and I'm very happy about it. My only complaint was the illogical security guard. I cannot really so much describe this in just words very well what exactly happened but basically he wanted to compact the line and the way he did it ended up screwing over the people who arrived early. A person who got there an hour after me would have gotten in first. I got their earlier so that I could try to get one of Brand New’s spring posters. They only sell 10 at each show. I think I would have gotten one too if people were let in according to the time they actually got in line. The person in front of me at the merch table got the last one. So sad...yet I live on, and rather happily !
  13. I just finished Best Friends by Martha Moody and now I am reading John Steinbeck's The Winter of our Discontent.
  14. I just read The Contortionist's Handbook by Craig Clevenger. I just noticed on the cover a quote by Chuck Palahniuk saying, "I swear to God this is the best book I have read in easily five years. Easily. Maybe ten years." So, it would be worth checking out if you're a Palahniuk fan, plus, I thought it was good
  15. I was at Borders and I saw their cd and it was only 6.99 so I grabbed that sucker up. I didn't think Borders sold anything that cheap haha. woah woah, gotta edit this post. I guess it was that price because there are only 7 songs. That's okay.

    Sum 41

check that, just heard another song called Walking Disaster too. They are fine, I don't know haha! I don't get to hear the whole song - just clips. I like other songs by them better but I've barely heard these so I really can't judge completely.

    Sum 41

I just rated a song of their's on promosquad.com called We're Doing Fine. It must either be on the new album or potenitally on the new album since I've never heard of it. It reminds me a lot of something that would have been on All Killer No Filler.
  18. Can't say I know for sure, but I heard up to 2004 the diary of Anne Frank only sold, I don't know, a measly 25 million copies! I remember hearing something incredible about how much it has sold but I couldn't remember so I found that figure on Wikipedia. Everything on Wikipedia should be taken as fact, right? haha, I still believe that estimate though. That's okay, we all like different books!
  19. Wow, Vista looks really cool. Are those things on the right of your screen only for Vista or can anyone get them. If so where? I almost never change my desktop. I think I had the All We Know Is Falling album cover as my desktop for at least a year and a half haha.
  20. I didn't realize it was a movie but thanks for letting me know! Maybe, I should have figured that since SO many more movies are adapted from books then people even realize. The last book I finished was House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III I don't have any books right now. I'm trying to wait until after my finals are over to buy some more so theoretically I will be studying for them and reading textbooks instead.
  21. Haha, but millions and millions of people of all ages read Harry Potter...and love it!
  22. The only place that I could consider a CD player which holds one cd at a time is in my car. That CD right now is Meg & Dia - Something Real.
  23. The Memory Keeper's Daughter is actually the first book on my list of books that I'm going to get soon. I don't know much about it but it was recommended to me on amazon.com and I read the description and it sounded good.
  24. ^In Her Shoes, the movie with Cameron Diaz. I like all of Jennifer Weiner's books. The last book I read was East of Eden and I just thought it was amazing. I'm going to look into some more Steinbeck books. I've already read, Of Mice and Men, The Pearl, and Grapes of Wrath. I'm trying to balance out my chick lit books with things of more substance haha!
