Wiking
Pitchfork media have started their top 200 list......anyone seen it? There is a lot of pretentious shite. http://pitchfork.com/features/staff-lists/7706-the-top-200-albums-of-the-2000s-200-151/ Yeah I have seen it. I would say that they have become weaker. They we're actually great one time and they also have some great taste still, BUT the last couple of years they have been leaning more to the electronic side. Not that I hate all electronic music, but it's been kind of the formula to get a good review on the site. But they still write well written reviews although it's not always I agree with them. But I was really disappointed with their best songs for decade list. Outkast as first, yeah right. From the list I really like The Thermals (who are on my list ). And well they have Arctic Monkeys. Nick Cave can also be pretty awesome at times, although he's a sick motherfucker. Okkervil River are great too. Damn I forgot about Deerhunter, they would definitely be on my list. Bradford Cox is da bomb.
Hiroki
They have some good mentions but for the most part im sure they are just picking those type of bands to be alternative and pretentious Still I wonder what they place at number
Wiking
Yeah you might have a point. Although I was actually surprised that they have had quite a few hiphop/rap artist. I bet that it will be Radiohead and probably Kid A. They are kind of Radiohead lovers, I think it is 3 of the albums they have given 10. But it is also the boring choice. Ross
NMH will be high on the P4K list.
hubabalou
Oh, I have something to contribute, its not really a specific artist or anything. But if you ask me, the Garden State Soundtrack is one of the best musical releases over the past decade.

Hiroki
Those were my teenage years where I listened to Mansun and took the piss out of Nirvana for being shite. Like how this topic has went from being about albums of the year/decade and its kinda like a general music chat now
watchthesky
that happens on here no one stays on topic for long
Hiroki
I meant it in a nice way though. I always thought this place needed a general music topic where we could talk about things like this instead of all those individual band topics.
