At least 15 people killed at Love Parade festival

At least 15 people have been killed at the Love Parade electronic music festival in the German city of Duisburg, police have said.

 

Police had been trying to stop people reaching the parade area because of overcrowding.

 

But the revellers panicked at a tunnel entrance. About 100 people were also injured, dozens seriously.

 

Organisers had said they expected more than one million people to attend the event.

i just read that the organizer proclaimed the end of the love parade.

its absolutly horrible that so many people have to die on such a festival also the organisation was stupid because there was only one entry and that was a subway and there the panic get more and more also

but the best decision was to go on after the thing because when they had stopped that all the people had to go to the exit and the tragedy had to begin .. -.-

Yeah, they think about 350 have been injured. Many of them have severe injuries.

They had to go on though, many many more could've been killed if they had stopped the whole thing. The organizers said there will be no more Love Parade after this though.
