Chris
A very good list of bands...But whether they're all emo bands or not is questionable.
benzzz
Yeah I don't really think Fall Out Boy's EMO, but Dashboard COnfessional is
set_it_off
I think Fall Out Boy is way more emo than the likes of A7X or Killswtich.
tsunamibombx
STRAYLIGHT RUNNN IS AMAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZIIIIIINGGGGGgg end of story. and so is Taking Back Sunday. and a bunch of those other bands.
golly
i think any band could be classified as emo at one point or the other. so i dont ever seriously consider any band emo. so that list if i had to consider any of them emo, there are definaly ones that woulnt be. rise against is consider a punk band. and there are a few hardcore-ish/screamo bands that would be either. momentsturntomay
Excellent list, though since its a mix I'd say you'd have to add hellogoodbye, the academy is..., and yeah...that's all I can really think of haha...

Thinzar
o_O I don't see a lot of the ones I recognize as "emo" even with the common idea of it.

hatherley
the ataris? emo? oh dear. most of the bands on that list are incredible, but music isn't all just about labelling bands.

Bubblegum
Ahaha, Very few of them (If any, I haven't heard them all) are emo. But it doesn't really matter. The term "Emo" has really gotten out of hand. I just tend to stay away from it. But a lot of them Are good. Very very good. I think you may have covered all my favorite bands but Paramore. And all the bands I've heard of (excluding MCR... D<) on that list (which is over half) I like. Hahaha...no wonder they all call me emo kid. hayleh
^ yeah man, that's what i mean. people are like " aye, that's emo " like simple plan and shit. but i really don't get it. they say simple plan are emo because they're song's are emotional. like untitled for example. but like .. you could say the same about bloody britney spears and everytime couldn't you. it doesn't make any sense so i just ignore it.
